I went for nye with a friend, he (the friend) managed to sneak a bottle of champagne in and popped it at midnight. Although his actions weren't in line with rules of decorum at any bar, the bartender lied and said my friend hit him, which did not happen because I personally was standing between the two. One of the managers decided to follow us to our car which was parked a city block away and assaulted my friend by hitting him at least 5 times in his face also calling him derogatory racially fueled names. We will be seeking legal representation. Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

It makes me very SAD that Eric is selling the joint!! The only thing constant in life is change. Speaking of which, I hope the next owner gets CREATIVE and makes the place outstandingly comfortable!! Should be 420-friendly for example... Price per person $50–100 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

Fun spot in Nevada City. A few beers on tap, decent atmosphere and a back patio for the smokers. It's a basic bar.

I have been going to McGees for YEARS! This was the first time in almost 10 (God I am OLD!) It's always a good time. McGees never fails. Rico was the DJ when I was there so good music, the drinks were strong and the people were great. Not disappointed...
