Wow! We went today, Sunday, not realizing they were closed - they had inadvertently left the door unlocked for a meeting they were having. Upon apologizing and making for the door, we were told “Oh, you’re not leaving here without food!” and they fired up the grill just for us! While waiting they came around the counter and told us to have two drinks on the house. In short order, two chicken shawarmas came over the counter, I paid and we left.
At my daughter’s house, we dug in and… Oh, my! I’ve eaten a lot of shawarma in my day, but NOTHING like these! The pickles in the sandwich were absolutely the best I can recall ever having eaten. There was just enough toum - you could taste it, but it didn’t overwhelm the other flavors in the sandwich. But the star of the show was the chicken. NEVER in all my years of enjoying shawarma do I recall the chicken being so moist! Oh! Wow this was good!
Shawarma In A Box is definitely on my radar, and should be on yours, too!
20240304: oddly, Google has reassigned the review I created for Shawarma In A Bix to Mediterranean and African Cuisine - a place I’ve never set foot in. Odd.
The first time I ordered from here the food was delicious. The next three times my orders have been cancelled despite the hours saying they were open.
Food is good if you manage to get it, I think I'm done trying though.

It is amazing and the perfect comfort food! The meat pies are excellent, and the goat with your jollof is amazing! Would highly recommend if you are seeking good portions and tasty jollof!
