The best service we've had. Had to ask for the manager to report how well the server took care of our table. Everything was excellent, big fan of the birria tacos and their spiciest salsa. Roberto and his team time and time again prove why Mexicali is one of the best restaurants in CT. Consistent quality food and service every time I come here it doesn't matter what time of day it's always quick, delicious, and reasonably priced. Great for a date or a group night out. Don't miss it!

Fantastic spot to stop for lunch or dinner! I only managed to get one picture because everything we had was great here! If you are in the area this is a great spot! 8.20.23 Indoor and outdoor seating available. Lots of parking. Drinks and food came out fast, hot, and delicious. Margaritas were strong. The fresh guacamole with jalapeños was absolutely amazing with just the right about of kick. Service was great and overall we loved it. By far, one of the best places to eat. I always drive up to this route, and I am always curious about this restaurant. Finally, I got the opportunity to go there with my wife, and I can tell that I'm 1000% satisfied with everything in this place, great service and atmosphere. A random visit to this restaurant turned to be a wonderful evening here. The ambience is good and this facility has a lot of seating indoor and outdoor. Our server was really nice and infact everyone in the staff was. We ordered the pineapple and the melon margaritas, wouldn't recommend as it's mostly syrup instead of the fruits you are better off ordering the standard margaritas. The guacamole was really creamy and the quantity was really really good and freshly made. The vegetable stir fry would be a recommended dish for vegetarians as it tasted really good. Pescado frita was a fried tilapia fish with the two sides of your choice. The fish was not seasoned well and was too oily. Yes, I came back here last night. Can't get enough. There were 12 of us food always amazing, and the owner is a great guy. Staff is wonderful. I like this place when it comes to eating Mexican on any day. Tex Mex Egg Rolls is my favorite appetizer. Calamari is good too. I want to try the Shrimp and Spinach Queso Dip, maybe next time. We had the Grilled Salmon Taco, Dos Amigos and Chicken & Shrimp Fajitas for the main course. Everything served on the table tasted great. Loved the fries served in the kids menu with Chicken & Cheese Quesadilla. The ambience is good, the servers are very nice and friendly. Parking lot is big.
