Anna D served us again and has been friendly and caring on both of our visits. The food was excellent. We booked our Wedding anniversary lunch, upon arrival as we were with a toddler. More than guiding us to the reserved table, the lady at the reception was talking and educating us about about how we go about making a booking - telling us that we should book a table for 3 and not 2 since we requested for a high chair. Not like the restaurant was busy and there wasn’t space to sit us. The restaurant barely had customers seated around and there was plenty of space. Service too on the table wasn’t efficient, we had to wait for approx 10 minutes to be assisted and served . Nevertheless, the food was good I must admit. An impromptu date night at Miller & Carter Taplow turned out to be just what we needed. The food was excellent, and the service, courtesy of Angela, was truly exceptional! Even though we hadn't made a reservation, a quick call on our way there sorted things out. The hostess mentioned they prefer reservations, but walk-ins were fine. The restaurant was bustling when we arrived, and there was a bit of a wait, but the hostess kindly took us to our table and took our drink orders while we waited. As for the food, we went for a sirloin and ribeye steak, with the delightful addition of a grilled lobster tail. While the wedge salad didn't quite impress, the rest of the dishes were nothing short of incredible. First time here and will definitely return time and time again. The service level by our member of the waiting staff, Karen was faultless. Nothing was too much trouble. The food, I had fillet mignon and lobster tail, see attach photo, was excellently cooked. Really enjoyed our visit. We brought my parents as they had never eaten at a M&C before. The food and the service from Karen was spot on. We all ordered sirloin and was cooked perfectly apart from mine. I asked for medium rare but it came quite rare, our waitress was on it straight away and was back within a few minutes with a fresh plate and a perfect medium rare steak. No complaints.
