chicken fried steak with mashed: steak was way too chewy and potatoes too little not even hot. chef salad if you like iceburg lettuce and luncheon meats Needless to say we wont be back. I dont understand why anyone would serve a dinner like that, unless you are planning on leaving the business and no longer care? Good food, Great place to eat. My only issue is the owner charges 4% fee if you use a credit card. I see they took the 4% sign down so you won't see it, but they're still charging it..They are that hard up to charge the customer when they own 3 other restaurants. It just cuts the tip. Took my mom to breakfast here before she said goodbye to Texas after 60 years and moved to the north eastern coast. I couldn’t have asked for nicer people and the atmosphere just felt like home, like I sent mama off properly before she left. It’s a small town diner feel for sure. Everyone was very friendly. Food was tasty, but was disappointed in the temp. The cheese on my omelet was not melted on top…inside was more so. Hottest Food I’ve ever had!!! I’m a stickler for hot food. Not only is the food fantastic. It literally was so hot I bet it was poured out of the pan and sent to my table! I had the HOBO. Perfect combination! Kudos to our server Tina who was a dream! Be careful. She will treat you so well it may hurt your wallet. Because you’re gonna want to tip her more! Definitely coming back! The waitress was slow to take the order and came out a few times to say the kitchen was backed up and slow. When the food came to the table all the food was cold. It was as if it was plated 15 minutes ago and set on a counter then finally brought it. The taste was good and would have been much better if it was warm. I have only eaten in the restaurant this one time and normally get carry-out for my food and it is hot when I get it home even for breakfast. The food there is always very good and a nice portion.
