Unfortunately we had a very bad experience at nes cafe. We came back from our bike tour and just wanted to drink a beer and have dinner. We were rushed to order drinks and then realized that there was a whole card with different types of beers we were not offered. We told the waiter that we wanted to order food in English which seemed to be a problem for him. We waited for 30min then we decided to pay without eating anything... hopefully it was just the very rude waiter to make this experience so bad.

Decent food and great choice of beers. Unfortunately, our experience was ruined by bad service. We booked in advance, but were seated on possibly the worst table in the pub (next to the restrooms and passage to the kitchen). When we asked politely if it was possible to be move instead to other tables, which were still empty and of the same size of our group, there was some discussions among the waiters. For a while it was not clear what was possible or not. We were standing and nobody told us what to do. Eventually, we were given two different explanations about the reasons why it was not possible to move us. This first impression was bad enough, but the evening was definitively spoiled by the 1.5 hour wait for the food. Definitively a place we do not recommend.

A lot of nice beers here. Had the red beet burger, which was very good. I do wish there were more vegan options available.

They accidentally brought us an extra drink and let us have it for free! We were also offered free water because it's so hot. Great service, very nice.

Great beer menu, food was slow and not fantastic but perfectly fine. Definitely has the best night life in Nes, stays open late (still buzzing when we left at nearly 1am).

We spent there one dinner. Spare ribs and one burger. The spare ribs have been really good and I really can compare with great US places. The burger have unfortunately been only average. The fries are really good though. Dessert was a reason to come back.
