I've lived in the area for over 29 years & Nicky's Gyros has always been a go to for good fast food. The Italian Beef sandwich is legendary!!!!! I always get mine lightly dipped with hot peppers & mozzarella cheese. The sandwich has plenty of beef inside & over the years that hasn't changed. The food is consistent as well as the taste. Another favorite of My family is the Gyro Plate with an extra pita. This Gyro plate feeds 3-4 people easily. My sons are now adults and prefer driving to Nicky's over other restaurants in the area. I'm delighted that the restaurant is one of the businesses in the area that hasn't closed due to changes in the city. No Gyros🥙 I've tasted compares to the OG Nicky's in Calumet City, IL! Most places are skimpy with the Gyro meat even when you order a plate but not Nicky's! The amount of gyro meat for one sandwich is enough for two pita's or a plate. The fries are always fresh and huge!! Gyro special $10 reasonable price and well worth the drive!! Even their Tzatziki sauce is fire! If you love Gyro check them out from THIS location!!! Good buffalo wings too , extra crispy goodness!
