The staff are very nice and the food is fine, but the service is terrible: it’s muddled. We ordered two draught beers when the food was served. Ten minutes later the -very nice- girl comes and tells us the beer we wanted was only available in bottles. Fine, we ordered bottles. Another 10 minutes later we had almost finished our food, deliberately eating slowly, the bottles arrived. How long does it take to discover you don’t have a certain beer on tap and how long does it then take to fetch two bottles from the fridge and two glasses from the bar?! We will not return…

I went to NielZ in a very crowded night so I was already expecting the waiters to be a little bit more confused than the usua,l but they were efficient overall. I ordered the Dutch Steak, which in my opinion should've presented more steak than sauce and vegetables (although this may be how the Dutch Steak is presented after all). The dishes and drinks come relatively quick (considering the number of people in the place) but I felt like the waiters have some hard time communicating in English (they've mistaken my beer for another more than once) but nothing that spoiled the fun.

You want to enjoy nice and cosy atmosphere, have cocktail, beer or maybe eat. It is wort visiting. Recommendation for High Beer and some finger food.

Excellent restaurant, all of the waiters and waitresses speak English, visited the place last year in December. Ate an amazing kroketten that came with a large bread and salad, was quite surprised how tasty it was. Will definitely come back here sometime.
