Come here for a meal after visiting Oceano Dunes State Vehicular Recreation Area. Mexican food is worth a try here. Being at this restaurant, eat perfectly cooked juane, stewed steaks and chicken enchiladas. To try good vanilla ice cream, flija and chocolate custard is a truly nice idea. You will hardly forget delicious strawberry margarita, beer or champagne that you can drink. Get your meal started with great chocolate frappe, ice tea or americano. The intimate atmosphere of Old Juan's Cantina allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. Most guests point out that the staff is cheerful. Service at this place is something one can name professional. Reasonable prices are what you will pay for your meal. Besides, the decor is lovely. This spot scored 4.3 in the Google rating system.

My girlfriend and I come here quite a bit because we feel the portion sizes are good given the pricing and they also make a killer Margarita. I love their chilli Coronado and she likes their Burritos. We believe Jamie offers excellent service and is also a great bartender. The atmosphere is very comfortable and it could benefit with a little bit of updating and improving but then again the condition makes it pretty authentic. It's one of those local places that you love to go rather than being at a commercial spot. Im not here to suck D<*% , i hate bringing complaints because im notvthat guy, I'm from the area , old Juan's has been in the same spot for over years so I would love to give it a 100 in my opinion i do spend allot of momey in restaurants so the 85$ price tag is not the biggest problem, its what should have happened for that price, I love my hood but they hurt my feeling this time, picked a table, received complimentary chips and salsa +, then was asked if we wanted water, ordered a tea and other drinks, the whole time though we needed napkins to clean the Grease off our hands not to mention the whole time we needed utensils, so when we did get our food we had to ask for multiple items , (sugar for the ice tea, napkins to help with the chips and salsa mess, salt and pepper, utensils for the food, then when we received the utensils, we had to ask for spoons) we ordered plain tacitoes for our son, when they arrived they were loaded, then we received them corrected and as ordered 3 @12 , there was a cup of guacamole on the plate with my 16$ buritto, after we received the corrected plain tacitoes we asked for guacamole for them and were told I had it with my burrito, never the less we bought more at $4.50 , you can tell me if you feel it was worth it , it's not over and I hate to put this all out there because I know there money if from the old people in the local area and tourists but let's go,, after we eat and paid, we tipped the waiter, we went outside, my son and wife left, I went back in use tge restroom, when I finished there was no toilet paper, and the cabinet they keep the paper in was locked... think about it, for 100$ how does it sound ?? We ate dinner here on a rainy Monday evening in January, and it was hopping! We were seated immediately by a pleasant hostess in a nice booth. The decor was colorful and coordinated. Salsa and chips were quick to arrive and delicious. The waitress was authentically smiling and welcoming. Everything we ordered came promptly and was also quite tasty. This is our new favorite Mexican food place in the area. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Food was good, I had the spinach enchilada and it was nice for a change up. I like the refried beans and rice a little more because they were the standard fair. Good presentation and service although I upgraded to the jalapeño mango Margarita and it wasn't very tasty. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5
