Hadn’t been to an Olive Garden in years. Our meal was delicious. Our waitress was attentive throughout our meal. Nice quiet vibe as it was early lunch. First time at an olive garden and I wasn't disappointed. Tried their salmon since I've never had salmon before. Read that it has a buttery taste which I definitely noticed. Tastes even better with lemon juice. It fell apart so easily which was a good thing for me since I prefer my meats to be falling apart like some ribs rather than being tough. The bartender also did a fabulous job and got me the rum I wanted. Will definitely come back again and try some more stuff! Enjoyed a terrific and peaceful late lunch at the bar. Such great salad, bread, and soup. You can't eat nearly as economically at a junky fried fast food joint. Plus!! You can enjoy a decent glass of wine or beer, pay a nice tip and still be close to junk fast food. Usually, Olive Garden will get a perfect rating from me every single time, but this evening I was very disappointed. It took MUCH longer than usual for the food order to be brought to the table. We had a 6 year old child with us, and after waiting for an hour or more, she was very hungry and crying because her very simple order (spaghetti) took so long to be served. We actually complained and inquired at least 3 different times, before we spoke to a manager on site. Yes, he definitely and quickly got the food out to us, at that point, but I’m left wondering what caused such a long delay this evening!?! Very enjoyable visit. Soups were outstanding and the salad was fresh and tasty. It was busy but we were seated in 5 minutes. It was evident the wait staff works together and service is their #1 priority. The bar was not busy at all but that may be because some folks may not realize it is there for a before dinner drink or after dinner liquor. Reasonably priced. Food came hot. The salad and garlic sticks were replenished in a timely manner. All four of us were not disappointed and will keep Olive Garden on our rotating restaurant date night list. Reservations made over a month ago for baby shower and have been waiting an hour to be seated to set it up. Have a party waiting in hallway. Some arrived at 6:30 PM for 7:00 PM Baby Shower to set up. Still waiting! Part of our party had to leave and others canceled. Update: We waited over an hour and a half! Hostess was rude to me and my daughter's guest and sat 2 other parties before us coming in while we were there waiting. Reservations were made over month ago and no other parties were booked. My daughter specifically asked for a night that had no bookings. Shout out to the Waitress, Serenity, and Waitor, Mr. Hughes! Service was awesome! Shout out to the cooks too, and the food was great! We enjoyed ourselves anyway and set up baby shower as we were sitting down. Highly do not recommend booking any kind of gathering at Wilkesboro Olive Garden! I would've left a 1 star rating overall, had it not been for our waitress and waiter. Serenity and Mr. Hughes were absolutely amazing. Although, it started out rocky to say the least. I made reservations a month ago, and while I don't mind waiting I do not appreciate a hostess taking her frustration out on my mother. Not only was she rude, but it was obvious she was having a rough night. While I understand, in my 18 years of customer experience, I have never seen someone bob their head and get upset at their elder for asking how much longer the wait would be. We even offered to just sit at separate tables, or push the bar tables together. Some of our party had to leave because they coupdnt wait much longer,, so we were a little more flexible space wise.. As much as I hope that young lady has a better day tomorrow, I will not be going back to the Olive Garden in Wilkes anytime soon. But again, shout out to the wait staff for being so kind and personable. Yall saved the night. Standard food is good, if not great. Server quite inattentive, had to grab her for more drinks. Great parking, wheelchair access. Didn't have to wait for a table.
