I visited Pappadeaux’s for my birthday lunch. Anthony was my server. He was super attentive, very nice, and friendly. I told him I was visiting Denver for the weekend and he recommended some pretty nice scenic spots. If management reads this, please thank him for me! He was very helpful and kind. Besides the great service, the food was great. I had the crab & artichoke dip & the gumbo/salad. Everything was delicious. I can definitely say my solo birthday lunch was enjoyable. Honestly it was so good when we just had the drinks and appetizers. The calamari and the crab artichoke dip were 100/10. But the reason for the low review was when the dinner came it was meh. It looked amazing, but when I tasted it it was so lackluster. For plates being $40/pp and let alone a dinner with one drink an app and entrees being $160 pre tip was crazy for what it was. I’m more than happy to pay that (as you can tell in my previous reviews) but this was not it. Honestly disappointed. Highly recommend getting drinks and apps here then doing actual dinner else where. Sorry just being honest. Beautiful outdoor area tho. Can see myself with friends here for happy hour on the gorgeous patio but for dinner and for how expensive it was it honestly was not good. I've been to Chicago & Denver and make an event out of each time. The property, the people, and the menu are an amazing combination. I always go with the crab & shrimp salad. Our waiter was an older gentleman who seemed like he was over the whole service thing. He was a bit gruff but then came thru with all our wants and he even cracked a joke late into our meal. lol. It was good service. We had shrimp and grits which were good and fried catfish and chips (also really good). Tons of tables and seems like not too busy at lunch. Kaya was our server, and she was amazing! She was very accommodating and friendly. We went here to celebrate getting married and it’s definitely our favorite restaurant now. First time here for a group gathering. The place is beautiful, food was good and waiter was really good. Great iced tea. Huge portions. Even lunch menu is going to be $20+ a plate. They serve bread which was delicious. The only reason they didn’t get a 5 from me was they did not refill our drinks which I was told tea and soda and water are bottomless while dining in and they didn’t refill bread more than once. Kind of hard to find if you are not familiar with area. When it says turn right on West 88, know you have to be in far left lane after turning so that you can make an immediate left turn. You will need to pass a car dealership & a hotel on left side before you make a left turn which will lead to restaurant on back side lining up with I-25. Amanda was such a great server today! This was a spur of the moment date and she made it super special for us. Been a while since we had a date night/ afternoon lol Would highly recommend her as your server for the Bar area or wherever she is stationed 🙂 food was perfect no complaints there but her customer service made it 100% better !! The Pappadeaux menu has something for everyone. The service is great and the atmosphere is nice but can be a bit noisy. I think the best value for your money is the lunch menu. I recently met a friend here for lunch. We were both pleased with our selections, shrimp and grits and a mixed seafood over dirty rice. They were served after a great salad with white balsamic dressing. The beauty of going for lunch was there was plenty of seating. The lunch menu is abbreviated but offers a nice selection at a good price. We didn’t feel rushed and the service was perfectly timed to allow us to chat but get our orders in for a leisurely meal.
