We were looking forward to trying this place due to the raving reviews. This has got to be one of the worst establishments I have been to. I placed an online order for pick up so that we could pick it up and head straight to the beach. Online order said the order will be ready at 11:44Am. We got there around 11:47Am and the order wasn’t ready. It seemed like they forgot to check online orders. They started to make it when we got there. The staff seemed to be in a bitter mood. We ordered two doughnuts and two pesto sandwiches. One of them we requested it be subbed with sourdough. The sourdough sandwich was so bad. All the fillings were in the middle of the bread, the pesto wasn’t spread out and the bread wasn’t toasted! The sourdough did not taste like sourdough bread. The churro doughnut is delicious but they gave us the turtle cheesecake, when we ordered the regular turtle. I would never recommend this place. Maybe go for a doughnut but the coffee and breakfast items were terrible. None of the staff apologized for not having the order ready, maybe they were having a bad day? Still an apology would’ve went a long way. If you’re looking for breakfast I recommend the other cafes nearby. Sound cafe was amazing and the food trucks nearby with coffee, açaí bowls, and breakfast is 1000% better. We actually ended getting food at the food trucks after this poor experience at Parlor Doughnuts.

Every time we go to Fort Walton, we always stop at my favorite donut shop, Parlor Donuts. According to their website, "Our goal is to efficiently deliver a superior product, at a moderate price, with exceptional service, in a comfortable setting." I have to agree that their product is superior. The price is moderate. However, their service is not exceptional yet. It's a hit and miss. Just like any other place, the staff can have their off days. With that being said, some of the cashier do give exceptional service because they are cheerful, attentive, and knowledgeable about the products.
If you like big, fluffy, and layered donuts, then you will love these donuts. They have the texture of a croissant. Maybe that is why I love them and think they are the best. These donuts are my favorite. I don't eat a lot of Donuts, but these donuts I actually crave!

I browsed Google this morning and thought about where to go. I can't believe I almost missed this experience!
It's a cute, picturesque location with ample indoor and covered outdoor seating.
They're military friendly, offering a discount and with many patches on their board. Check out the olive drab first aid box in my photos - I want one for my house!
The most important thing is the donuts. They're amazing! I would call them cronuts, because they have layers of delicious pastry with beautiful sweet toppings. Their French toast donut is popular for a reason! I also got turtle and churro, which are both very good.
Coffee was good. Service was fast and friendly. I'm going to be a regular!
Addendum: I've been back weekly and it's just as good. I love every donut I've tried and the employees are consistently helpful and friendly.

I wish I could do this every Saturday!! A true espresso coffee with a kick!! We love the bourbon Pecan ,Caramel, Peanut Butter, Blueberry!! Be sure to take some to go and microwave for 10 seconds!! Yum!!!
