Overpriced!!! Wine pours very short In small glasses. Bowl of green chili stew Was mostly broth, some chicken, few beans, and no cheese. Guacamole and tomatillo salsa were good. Chips were extremely salty. Had to ask for less salty chips and more water. We were there at 4 30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024. Not busy which was nice, but the bartender was overly attentive To the point of being obnoxious and always in our faces Smiling hard, and Asking what more we wanted. There was no reason for us to be so rushed. Verona is such a dead zone as far as getting some thing decent to eat and drink at a reasonable price. I keep going back to Pasqual’s Cantina to get this amazingly delicious pork burrito bowl. They were so kind to customize the dish for me since I eat low carbs. The hero of the dish is the PORK. I don’t know how they did it, but it is so well seasoned, and probably was roasted or slow cooked but it is just right and perfect. Other things in the bowl are so fresh and high-quality. Tables were available on a Friday night, and pricing is quite average for the Madison area. Except for the rice being a bit undercooked, the food was incredible. We will be returning! Went in for lunch and the restaurant was completely dead. Servers just sitting around looking like they needed customers (should have been a hint). First, I've never been to a restaurant where I paid for chips and salsa - neither were fantastic and I was shocked to see them on my bill. Next, I can't complain about the service because I think they were so desperate for customers I got a lot of attention. My margarita had a small fly in it and I just set it aside because I was giving up when my food came anyway. The food is not good. My husband and I, who are travelers/huge foodies, found it to be dry and flavorless. I am guessing someone took a stab at what they think Mexican food is without ever having it. Absolutely our favorite place! The entire family loves it. The guacamole is amazing. Homemade chips with fantastic seasoning. We have been frequenting for years, and no one has been disappointed with their food. That's quality. The enchiladas are a family favorite. Any of the burritos are a winner. I have one kid who loves the rice so much that she orders an extra side every time. Oh, and the Margaritas!!! It's worth stopping in just for one of those. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I'm originally from New Mexico so I'm very skeptical of Mexican food. This was very tasty! Maybe not as hot as I'm used to, but to be honest we are a little far from NM. The flavors were amazing! They even were able to do my enchiladas "Christmas" style, which is both red and green chiles on the plate. If and when I make it back to Verona I will definitely head back here! Service was awesome! I love tamales so I had to order them here. They were okay but not great. They were steamed in the husks as is traditional, but they put the sauce and cheese on the husks. Once you took the husk off there was no sauce or cheese. They should really open the husks and apply the sauce and cheese. That's how they do it most places I've been to. The masa corn meal was dry and crumbly instead of moist. Flavor was okay but not great. Most Mexican places have free chips and salsa. Here they charge. They asked if we wanted mild or medium salsa. We said both. We were charged for the cups plus an extra $1.50 for getting both salsas. What's usually free cost us over $7.00 after tax and tip. My wife liked the Taco Salad. Overall I'd say it was okay, not bad, but they're are so many really good Mexican places that I wouldn't feel the urge to go back. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20

Good place for a quick meal and good margarita. Staff was friendly and food came out quickly. A bit on the pricy side to me even taking in to account inflation. Nachos were a good size portion. I have eaten here a few times. Each time has been completely different. The service has either been poor or very good. No in between. One time my order was not correct but still chose to eat it. Was not offered a discount on my bill for the mix up. Service was slow they were understaffed that day or so we had been told. The next time service was great. Food was served quickly. The Veggie Enchiladas were solid. Same with rice and beans served on the side. Parking is a hassle small lot and street parking is tight as well. If it is busy you will have to park a few blocks away. Place is very noisy when it is busy. It can be hard to carry a conversation or hear your sever speak to you. Nice patio area though. I would say it is worth trying if you have never been there. Like I said you may have a good experience or a poor one.
