This was our 1st visit & 1st time hearing of this place; we're out of towners & were visiting our daughter (an SMCM student) who chose this restaurant. The smells emanating from their kitchen to the parking lot were so delicious & enticing, who wouldn't wait for a seat? After a short 10 min for a table & not long after being seated, the server got our drink orders. My only issue w/ the server was that she kept running off before we were finished ordering or could even ask a question, she was nowhere to be seen except on the few occasions she came to check on us, yet we repeatedly had to ask for drink refills. When you see empty glasses on the table-why not ask if they'd like a refill? I guess it frees you up to not be running for drinks & saves them $$, but when you're spending your hard earned $$ in there, you don't wanna leave thirsty. The food arrived fairly quickly & was hot. My daughter got the meatloaf & I got a cheeseburger; they had to be an entire lb. each, no exaggerating; but the other portion sizes were enough to sate the avg appetite, and no leftovers. But everyone enjoyed the food, we had cheeseburger & meatloaf to take home. The prices were pretty avg for this type of restaurant. Horrible customer service. While waiting on our food, which was a long time with no refills on beverages, I finally saw my server again BUT she didn’t bring us our food but the table next to us. The customers she tried to give our meal to told her it was not their order, She Had Already Set The Plates On The Table. She took the food back their table, walked behind the wall and doubled back and handed us THE SAME food she had just handed to someone else. I asked if she could have my meal made again and explained I just witnessed what had happened. She LIED and said “they never touched the food”. While I’m explaining to her I saw what happened SHE WALKED AWAY, it’s not a big deal I would’ve been fine with an apology and just waiting for my food to be remade. Never have I ever had such bad customer service in my life. At this point I was done, so asked for my check with everything except the entrees since we did not eat them. We had to request a manager to get the entree removed since we were still being billed. Manager was not hospitable. WE WILL NOT BE BACK. I ordered the Cobb Salad, and it was beautifully assmbled in the to-go container. The chicken was placed in a piece of foil on the side, so there was not a single piece of wilted lettuce, the veggies were all fresh/crisp! It was amazing! I asked for Bleu Cheese dressing instead of the balsamic vinaigrette that's comes with it. I feel it's hard to find a really good Bleu Cheese, this one was delicious! Thank you for a great lunch! I'm giving it a four because the people there were very nice, and we enjoyed the atmosphere. But recently we went to eat there and I don't know who made my salad or my to go salad but it was nothing but red onions and it was disgusting. Red onions are not a main piece of a salad they're topping and I had just as many red onions as I had greens/lettuce! Then we got a salad to go, we requested a dressing when we received our to go salad we asked if the dressing was there as I was about to check and our server assured us it was. And when we drop that salad off to our friend at work they had to eat a salad with no dressing as there was no dressing! But you can be confident in the fact, that we had a boat load of red onions in the salad! Please inform whoever made our salads that onions are a topping and not the main stay of a salad. I don't know if they're out of salad goodies or the person making them just doesn't know how to make a salad but I'd like to serve them our ton of red onions. But it was a pleasant experience other than that.

The food was great, along with the atmosphere and service. It was not difficult to get to a table and order, especially for a Friday night. The Ale House Burger was amazing along with the mussels. We definitely plan on coming back here and trying more of the food and the many beverages they have. I highly recommend this local spot. Enjoy!
