The Peddler Steak House in Greenville is a unique and nostalgic dining experience. The restaurant has been around for 50 years, and stepping inside feels like stepping back in time to the 1970s. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with a family-friendly vibe. The bar area is especially cozy in the winter, and the enclosed porch offers a beautiful view of the surrounding trees. The staff are unfailingly nice and welcoming, and they still cut your steak to order at the table if you so desire. The salad bar is quite extensive, offering up to 50 items including the standard lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, broccoli, and sunflower seeds, as well as some more unique items like Vienna sausages. The steaks are good, though not the best in town, but for a much lower price than the top steakhouses. Antwon, Cassandra, and other servers provide exceptional service, checking on guests just often enough. The food is delicious - from the filet steak to the French onion soup to the sweet potato. The chocolate cake is also a must-try. Overall, the Peddler Steak House is a great place to enjoy a delicious meal and a unique dining experience. Highly recommended!
