I work for Madison Square Garden and deal with Customers all night long. Bobbie Sue is the kind of person I want on my team. Not only is she pleasant and professional, but she acknowledged us while being super busy. I am a picky person and always request substitutions. Bobbi Sue was patient and extremely accommodating. Love the 55+ menu. You can modify to your own preference. The waitress was very pleasant and attentive. She took her time as I asked questions about alternatives to other food options. I had the buttermilk pancakes with turkey breakfast patties. The pancakes were nice and fluffy. I also love Perkins coffee. I sat and had a nice quiet breakfast which is always a good thing. The table and menus were dirty. I asked for the table to be cleaned and they gave me wet wipes to clean my own table. The food was good except for the biscuits. You could tell they reheated them in the microwave. I didn't complain. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Our waitress Linda C provided excellent customer service. So very friendly and outgoing. You can tell she enjoys her customers. I have travelled the world extensively over 40 years. I ate at all restaurants ranging from pop & mom’s to Michelin three stars. This is my honest review of Perkins Restaurant & Bakery at Balmville. Stoped there in the midst of a trip to upstate NY. We only had slices of pie: homemade apple pie and pumpkin. Both were tasty not too sweet and with a good dough and filling. Had a good experience here. Came for a spontaneous dinner with a long lost friend. Picked this location because it was easy off the highway and easy back on. Lots of parking and the restaurant was very clean. Service was good and the food was very good to us. 2 people ate and had coffee with the bill coming out to $36 which I was actually surprised about since everything is so expensive. Will come back again and try some more of the menu and hopefully some of the baked goods that looked absolutely delicious. Everything was delicious! The waffle was just the right amount of crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside. The country fried steak my husband had was fried just right. Food not salty either. Portion sizes are fair and the price is inexpensive. Deserts were not too sweet and they are generous slices. Must visit whenever you’re in Newburgh.
