The waitress was anxious and not attentive. She took my appetizer order and then dropped the check. Never got checked on again. The plain omelet was not good. I didn't finish it. The food was very good and cooked the way we ordered it. The restaurant looks like it could use a good deep clean but if you are looking for a old fashioned diner experience this is as close as you will get in Alexandria. Extremely expensive for a diner. They charge you for everything. Burgers and sandwiches don't come with fries, you have to order them separately, making a club sandwich $15 before taxes. A single sausage patty is $5. So outrageous. There are also crazy rules posted everywhere. Will probably not return. Don't waste your money or time going to this diner. The food, service and atmosphere was terrible. We went in sat down and ordered. When the food came, it was wrong. I am still waiting on my toast. When I complained to the 2 waitresses, thier reply was, "I turned it in to the kitchen. It's their fault..." they continued to go on for a few more minutes making excuses. I finally said that I was so disappointed with the place, I would not return. So both waitresses said some unpleasant things and were a little vulgar. So I gathered up my things and assisted my 85 year old mother out the door hoping to not let that place or those waitresses ruin the rest of my day. Patty melt was tasty, but the portion of fries was pitiful. Service wasn't especially quick and my waitress kind of acted like she had better things to do than take my order. Prices aren't low. I could also do without the condescending signs posted in all caps all around the premises. Especially the ones concerning sagging pants that go as far as to mention seeing people's underwear. Excellent French toast with a side of 2 eggs. Phenomenal coffee. Old-time cafe atmosphere. My waitress was cheerful and excellent. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

My word we had a great experience! The staff was so fun and friendly! The food was delicious, and the meal was so big that my husband and I were able to split it with our appetizer. I grew up going to the Pit Grill when my family and I visited Louisiana, and I have to say it was just as good as I remember as an adult. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

I got two cake & egg meals. Very poor quality. The sausage is literally the same sausage you can get at Walmart for 2.00 dollars a pack. The French toast is made on basic white bread making it very soggy, not even texas toast. Not to mention 13 dollar a piece for basic food. Better off going to huddle house or Ihop. We were craving Philly Cheesesteak sandwiches, and instead of grub hubbing it, decided to dine in person....its been a very long time for me and I was not disappointed! Hands down, it was the best Philly I've had locally....the bread....omg the bread! It was what we were craving. The steakhouse style sweet potato fries we crisp but soft on the inside....a lot of places can't seem to get this right...i cant say enough. There is a 10% gratuity figured in and you have to pay first....but do not let this dissuade you....its well worth it...this is unfortunately a necessity these days... Our server, "Rho," was very personable and attentive....the atmosphere was authentic, and the people were real. Culturally diverse and welcoming....its the kind of place where, no matter what you look like or what your status is, if you want to belong there, you will! The Coffee....its nothing fancy but its absolutely perfect....if you are craving that down home rich Louisiana cup of coffee in the kind of coffee mug you just cant find any more, this is the place! Also...TIP your servers because it goes directly into their pockets, unlike a lot of places!! I plan to become a regular ...hope to see you there! Also, the busy times widget for google maps was very accurate...the widget said the restaurant was not overly busy and it was accurate....the atmosphere was just right for my liking based on this information.... intimate privacy but with the comforting feeling of having others around. 2-20-22 Came here for the first time after church...and I will Never return. The waiting staff is awesome. The food? Yuck. Yuck. Yuck. Too Expensive for The Lowest Quality processed foods! I had the country breakfast with scrambled eggs and sausge links. The eggs were very dry and cold--not edible. The grits were okay, but...they serve entirely too much of it. My breakfast companion enjoyed his "pile" order and ate it up like he was starving. We both were VERY hungry, but I will not subject myself to eating food just to make a happy plate. Lol Oh...the hash browns and orange juice were okay and kept my hunger pains at bay. The food I ordered is dog food. At least Queen, the family dog, will get to enjoy something outside of her regular dog food. It's a delicacy for animals...but Not for humans who know what good food tastes like. My taste buds may be spoiled, and I am sure yours are, too, if you haven't been incarcerated for decades. I won't be returning here. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $10–20
