Good location, fast service. Great tasting food. I think some of the items are a little pricey, but the food is very good, very clean establishment. Everyone seems to work hard, and they look pretty happy. Very good music selection playing. Employees are nice, but they will always make you ask for your side of gravy even though it's on the ticket. This location doesn't seem to skimp on beef *AS* much* as the other locations since the change of ownership. This portillos has all the normal food. I got the double cheeseburger fully loaded. It was fantastic and super filling. Got a large order of fries. Again very good. Crispy and flavorful. Wife got a chicago bowl as she needs gluten free. The beef did not have much flavor. The sausage was flavorful however. Again flavorful. Quick stop off the highway which is very convenient for a relatively quick bit to eat and bathroom break! Very good Chicago classic in a very convenient location if passing by Chicago! Great food and everyone has got to love the chocolate cake shake! Fries with the cheese are delicious. I wish they had a bundle meal but after all these years people still buy individual items so why would they change now. Lines are long at certain peak times. Prepare for the wait. But its worth the wait. Meals can run about $15 a person but there's not a lot of places that aren't that average and still taste good. Service: superior & courteous both inside and outside from numerous occasions visiting. Food: fresh & hot! Ordered my favorite- Italian beef sandwich w/ sweet peppers and a cup of cheese. Had both the chocolate cake slice & chocolate cake shake and I’m not fan. The cake is very dry-the icing is the only best part. During the spring, their limited edition “Strawberry Lemon Cake Shake is ABSOLUTELY SCRUMPTIOUS”!!!! Atmosphere: very clean! A nice older gentleman greeted my party & I inside & thanked for my order. Didn’t catch him name, this was approximately 7p on 12/8/23. True definition of excellent customer service! He was engaging w/ customers asking how their meal was & experience thus far. Negatives: Never had an issue with my order.
