Exactly what we needed. The dough was crisp and airy. I do wish they served hot honey though. Overall very high quality pizza.

Cheese Pizza
Was told that the pizza was great. As I’m very lactose intolerant I tried the vegan pizza. We got the kale and sausage and there was no cheese on it. (???) also the toppings including the sauce were so far from the edge it was like a small pie with huge crust. Not sure if pay those prices again for that outcome.

First things first: the pizza is good. Not great - it's too greasy, floppy, and bready for that - but good. The vegan cheese is particularly delicious, with a flavor and texture that's pretty similar to the real thing, however I was a little put off that they charged 2x the menu price (and gave me a brush-off excuse about needing to get a new menu printed rather than adjusting it to the proper price). Value is pretty low considering the middle-of-the-road quality and premium prices. Service is great, aside from the pricing snafu - my pizza took extra time, so they offered me a complimentary salad since the rest of my group got their food first. The setting is nice, though eating dinner outside in February was still chilly, even with heat lamps - bring a jacket.
Overall, I was less than impressed with my $45 (!!) 8-slice pizza and won't return.

Best pizza joint in town.. by far. The NYC style is exactly what I'm looking for. The grandma pie is also truly delicious (I was concerned initially with that thick crust that the dough would be raw underneath the toppings, but to my surprise, it was cooked perfectly). The salads are a couple of steps beyond what you'd normally find at a comparable destination. We also love their Buffalo wings. We've been ordering here a couple times a week for the past few months since they opened shop (figured it was time to drop a glowing review).

Friend told me this is the greatest pizza place ever! When someone says that about pizza, you must try. Tried their square spicy pepperoni. Excellent pizza. Definitely up there with the greats. 36 dollars is pricey but definitely worth it. It's huge!!

Prime Pizza Altadena is a little place that delivers huge flavors. This is some of the most authentic NY style pizza west of the hudson. The crisp and crunch of their crust, the flavorful marinara and their delicious pesto are nearly impossible to beat. Very friendly staff and an oven that just wont stop. The best pies are the first ones out of the oven. These people are pizza lovers like me and pit love in every slice. You cant go wrong from the classics to the Sicilian to the vodka slices, don’t forget those scrumptious garlic knots either. Only thing they are missing to make them a true pizzeria is powdered garlic, otherwise they are absolute perfection. Don’t let me get fat Prime Pizza.

Grandma Pizza Slice
Prime is one of the best out there in my opinion.They have a few locations which I have also been to but didn't know there was a Pasadena which is closer to home.I understand everyone has different standards but they check all the boxes. Got a good lunch special also. Nice patio area with a tv to enjoy your meal. I would recomend you try.

White Pizza
Went inside just before my flight back home. Amazing staff and great pizza slide options. Would definitely be back once I find myself back to Los Angeles. Great stuff! Keep up the good work! I would recommend grandma’s and the vodka pizza!

Grandma Pizza Slice
We were sad when we learned Patticakes was no longer going to be our bakery in the corner, but were optimistic about this pizza place coming in. We waited and waited and waited for them to open. When they finally did, we were ecstatic about their pizza.
Prime Pizza has become my favorite pizza parlor in just two visits. I've tried 5 of their creations and have enjoyed every one almost identically, which is hard for me because I'm a staunch pepperoni pizza lover, yet I loved their other flavors all the same. Now when I visit its hard for me to decide which slice to get. Luckily the slices are large and can be shared easily without feeling you've given it away.
We ordered b by the slice. They crisp it in the over perfectly and serve it nice and hot, but ready to eat. Their crusts are perfectly crunchy and nice, and not greasy or heavy, and not too thick.
The cookies are my favorite as well. They are chocolate chips with a hint of oats mixed in; but most importantly, they aren't overloaded with chocolate, so they aren't overly sweet. For me, that makes them really enjoyable. The pizza, salad, and drink are a good deal as well.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming, and they always smile and greet you and make sure your have everything you need to enjoy your meal.
Overall, I could taste the quality of ingredients, and I didn't feel sluggish or heavy after eating there.
I'm not a pizza snob. I very much enjoy Blaze Pizza, Little Ceasars, and some of the other guys, even Sbarros, but Prime Pizza, for me, is my favorite parlor hands down.

Pepperoni Vodka Sauce Pizza
Really impressed with how well this place has come together. Was so excited to have a New York style pizza place so close to home. The service here is incredible with super nice staff! The pizza is really great and I love that they offer slices. I personally love the cheese pizza and the white sauce pizza. Definitely recommend!!! Love supporting new businesses in Altadena!!! Love the patio it’s a super comfortable casual place to hangout!!
