The staff were friendly, with fair prices for a rich selection of very fresh seafood. The dinning area was warm and cozy even for a hurricane weather. There were quite some people when we shopped and enjoyed the deep-fried cod and fresh mussels. Highly recommended!

Honestly said, if. You're in Zeeland, this place is a must!
No, it's not fancy, but then again if you're holidaying in Zeeland you're probably not looking for fancy but for peace and quiet, Dutch traditions and good fish or seafood. And this place has the latter. Mussels farm right next to it. That ensures fresh top notch mussels. Absolutely delicious! We came biking from Middelburg so we can enjoy the sea, the view and the polders. This felt like the cherry on top of the cake. We ended up buying mussels to go as well, as well as spices for them and souvenirs.
Excellent mussels tasty shrimps, nice wine pairing. Strongly recommend it!

Super delicious kibbeling. Must must try.
It's just it's a bit of a line and we had to wait for tables to be free. Super busy which is a good sign that the food is good. The bestest fried fish I've ever had in the Netherlands.

First time for me:
Unfortunately no fast takeout service when it is busy
When I ordered take out I was asked to wait inside at the counter, 20 minutes later I got my order. I could have sat down outside. Total time for take out was about 30 minutes, this includes queuing up during a busy time.
So I recommend to dine in or if they have the option to preorder. (Not sure)
You can order food on both counters and you get a beeping disc to pick up your order
Food pick up location isn't ideal when it gets busy.
Food in general was good, I had a herring on bread, the bun was soft and the herring tasted good.
It is a tourist spot, outside you'll have the sea and fresh air
I'll try it next time when I dine in.

So sorry for the very low review I never do this, however, the Lekkerbek was not edible. People are great however the chef must have known this was beyond substandard, the taste of ammonia was so intense with a texture that made cheesecake look firm. We did talk to them before this review and thank them for listening. Places like this with high volume tourist traffic have a responsibility to represent the beautiful produce of the Netherlands with pride especially the wonderful seafood that is number one in the world.
The mussels were delicious. The lobster was a bit overcooked. The fries are really good and crispy. You should also try the oysters too, they are fresh and worth 12€. The shop is nice. The outdoor sitting is relaxing and nice
Cheap but fresh and delicious seafood, friendly staff, dogs are allowed! Last but not least: you have GOT to try the kibbelingen. Been there twice and I can't wait for the 3rd time. Great place, period.
