Passing through town and stopped in around4pm for dinner. We order 3 burgers with only one other table in the restaurant. Took 40mins to get our food burger we good when they came out. If you don't mind waiting in a slow restaurant not so bad Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

We've eaten here in the past. This restaurant is veteran-owned and has a wall of pictures and information about the veteran. We ordered burgers. I don't usually like waffle fries and was unaware the sweet potato fries I ordered would be waffle fries, but they were good! I asked for a sample of gold BBQ sauce as I hadn't heard of it or eaten it before. I liked it, too. My husband and I enjoyed our meals, but I took half of mine in a Styrofoam tray to eat later. Our senior dog, a toy poodle, watched as my husband put my food in the back. We stopped for gas and left him on his pillow on the console in our Armada. When we got back in, I asked where the dog was. My husband jerked around and said, "In the back seat with your food." I found him lying on shredded Styrofoam and most of the meat and cheese from my burger. He was eating my sweet potato fries as fast as he could. He and I realized at the same time, he'd missed most of the meat. We both grabbed for it and caught it. I gave up and fed him the burger. He'd already eaten the bun, lettuce, and tomato. Came at 1245pm for lunch, the cost was $10-$25 with most food around $15. It was extremely tasty and was impressed with the quality/quantity. The service was fast with about 50% full on the non bar side. The salad bar was included with the meals on the back page and was very good. The soup was delicious! Spent two nights in town, found this cozy terrific restaurant off the Main Street, just down the street from the hotels, easy walk. Excellent service excellent food one night dinner was the ribeye, lunch The next day was the prime rib sandwich. Both perfect and always have the cowboy beans as the side. We stopped here after visiting the Badlands National Park. It was very disappointing. There are two sides to this restaurant and we apparently sat on the bar side which didn't look as nice as the other side based on recent photos. The restrooms and area we sat were not as nice as some of the other reviews noted. If you still choose to go here, ensure that you sit on the good side. There is also outdoor seating. The waitress was friendly. Unfortunately, our definitions of good differ as we do ask the wait staff at new places if they recommend we order what we have selected. The pork was dry and chewy. The chicken tenders were not good to okay depending on which child you asked. The Teriyaki wings were just okay. The wings are fried here, not grilled. If you have had Wisconsin cheese curds, do not order them from here. We got the cheddar cheese curds and they were not good. The onion petals were just okay. Be prepared to dine with flies even indoors. There is something about flies in most of the restaurants that we went to in South Dakota.
