Disappointing. I've heard many rave about this place, but at this point I don't know if people are high or the place was just bad at my time of experience. First of all, the place calls itself a taphouse and the beer selection is poor at best. I can pick up 85% of the taps at the local gas station, don't even have to go to the fancy store with craft beer. Terrible beer selection.
The food, where to begin? I was with a large party and everyone's food arrived around the same time, yet mine was somehow forgotten by the kitchen, so I waited another 10 minutes. The food was cold, except for the burger. I ordered the Sequoia Burger which was supposed to come with pimento cheese and bacon jam, which were both non existent. The burger was overcooked, flavorless and it did seemed weird. I don't know if there is a filler or whatever they're using with their meat, but it was not a good patty. The Macaroni and Cheese was ice cold and bland, street corn exactly the same on top of being overcooked. I guess there is an aversion to salt?
Seems like a decent place to watch a game I guess, but I'd probably getting better food at Your Neighborhood's Grill for cheaper.

Oh. My. Deliciousness!! I had heard great things about this restaurant a handful of times over the past few months, but I don’t live in town, so I finally made a little trip to Porterville and checked out Redwood Taphouse. The only regret I have is that I didn’t make the trip sooner.
So, here we go! I had the Redwood Burger (without bacon), house salad, and sweet potato fries. The burger was 10 stars. I told my best friend, “This is the BEST burger I’ve had in… I don’t even know when.” The flavors were *POW!* So scrumptious! The sweet potato fries? *drool* Perfectly crispy and crunchy on the outside. The portions were perfect, I took some leftover fries home. I can’t tell you much about the salad other than I took a couple bites and then I hit that burger and *BAM!*, I slid that salad over to the other side of the table. Hahaha…
My best friend had the sampler. The queso that came with the chips was ‘moan n’ groan good!’ The smokehouse wings were delicious, especially dipped in the house ranch. The potato skins were just as good in my air fryer the next day when we warmed them up. My best friend gave her sampler 5 stars! (I did too- and I sampled everything. lol)
The service from Gregory was very pleasant and the host was so nice and warm while seating us.
5 stars without hesitation, and I will be back… soon! Compliments to the chef and staff!

Food is alright, service reminds me of a sloth movie! The bus boy, server, host and manager are all slow !!!! They never ask if you want a refill or need anything. Waited 30 min for my ice tea and appetizers and food came out at the same time and food was cold! Never again will I step foot in this place. It's the 2nd time I come here and will be the last.

Pretty spacious place. But my main issues where the service and drinks/food. Our drinks where missing everything the menu said came in them. The bloody Mary and michalada beer. The super blonde bartender kept staring at me with the most dirtiest looks. I don't think I even know her lol. The FOOD way over priced the meat all have the same smoke flavor, Taste all the same I ordered the bacon wrapped shrimp and my bacon wasn't even cooked and my potatoes where like chalk. We ordered 2 drinks and 2 plates of food and the bill was 130$ and we where not satisfied with any of it. We went for Valentines day too so you'd think it would be extra good, but It definitely wasn't.

Horrible place. I decided to try this place for the 2nd time on Valentines day. Ordered 2 drinks and 2 plates of food and the bill was over 100$ the food was chalk. My potatoes where not cooked my bacon wasn't even cooked. The meat all taste the same with that artificial smoke flavor on every meat. TASTE LIKE DIRT. Super disappointed never again. The drinks sucked, the bartenders didn't put the green beans, olives, celery in the Bloody Mary's and the super blonde bartender kept staring at me as if we have drama. I don't even know the women. Felt super uncomfortable and over all horrible experience

The atmosphere is a sports bar/restaurant with way too many TV’s. The service was basic with a little bit of a wait even though it wasn’t busy. The food was horrible. I ordered a ribeye steak and my husband ordered the Redwood burger. Both of our meats were so dry you couldn’t squeeze any moisture out of it. I ordered my ribeye medium and it was beyond well done. The corn on the cob was well done and greasy. My husband had the fries and onion rings and he said they were ok. My other side was a house salad and it was okay. After eating a few bites of my steak I had to stop because it was just gross. We voiced are opinions about the meats and was told she would bring us a dessert for our troubles. My opinion the ribeye cost $28 they should have only had me pay for my salad and corn. Both my husband and I was sick when we got home. I will never go back. Attached a picture of my very thin and over done ribeye.
