It was perfectly fine - not great but not terrible. Some issues with our food. The crispy brussel sprouts were almost to the point of being charred. Salmon was overcooked. Our lava cakes were not lava - in fact they were cold in the middle. They tasted good, though. Got the beer braised brisket and it was fine but nothing special. I'd come back again and try one of the sandwiches.

A versatile place to go for a nice weekend brunch or go for a drink in the evening.
Their brunch menu has a variety of eggs benedicts which are delcious - I opt for the bacocado eggs benedict. The irish creme latte was delicious as well, would recommend for a good morning wake up call. They also have cool brunch cocktails including bloody mary’s, mimosas, and margaritas to name a few.
It has ample seating and parking in the back. Indoor is decorated nicely with a bar in the middle.

I absolutely LOVE this place and make a point of stopping for breakfast EVERY TIME my kids play hockey in Hershey, PA. EVERYTHING is delicious! The service is always outstanding (I’ve been here SEVERAL times), the atmosphere is amazing. And the food…..OMG - YUM!! Fresh squeezed OJ. Shredded cooked to perfection hash browns. Piping hot coffee. Pancakes to die for. Even the bacon and sausage are amazing. And do NOT pass up the sourdough toast!! They have an impressive bar from what I can see (never ordered from that) and the ambiance of the place is everything I love. Pottery plates/mugs, open faced brick, water from a milk bottle, live plants EVERYWHERE. The restrooms are swanky and ALWAYS spotless as is the rest of the place. It looks like they’ve expanded since I was last here - good for them. I’ve never been for anything other than breakfast (because - hockey) but I’m certain the rest of their menu would be outstanding. HIGHLY recommend if you’re ever in town - or even CLOSE! I’ll be back the next trip to Hershey.

We were recommended this restaurant while visiting a local winery while staying in a nearby campground. What a great recommendation. We were traveling with our dog and we were told they were dog friendly. It was a bit cold and late October for a weeknight they did not have their dog friendly patio open when we arrived, however one of the servers said she would be happy to serve us outside.
They opened up the patio, which is equipped with heaters and umbrellas and they quickly got us a table and turned on a heater. Our server was extremely prompt, helpful, provided my wife, me and our pup water and took our drink orders.
I must say of all the places from FL to PA that we on occasion have tried a coffee/chocolate martini, this was by far the best. It's actually an Espresso Martini with Fresh Brewed Espresso, Vanilla Vodka and Kahlua. They also had a good selection of craft beer.
The menu is very eclectic with a small sampling of very intriguing sounding dishes. I tried the Rising Sun Rice Bowl in the picture. I was leery to maybe being too spicy, but it was just at my preferred peak level, which I would say is mild/medium when compared to some who prefer a lot of heat.
It has a Korean BBQ Brisket with picked vegetables and a sunny side up egg all on top of rice. The flavors of the pickle, spice, brisket, egg and sauce all combine for a wonderfully flavored meal.
I'm not sure when we will be back in that area of PA again, but hope when we are we will have time to try more of their delicious sounding meals.

Loved this place. Visiting from out of town great atmosphere the bartender Corin was awesome recommend the crab dip and pulled brisket melt so flavorful. I will definitely go again when in town.

First time in on Saturday 18 November, everything exceeded our expectations!! Food was great from presentation, to taste and and quantity!! FABULOUS
SO, we had to come back Sunday 19 November and check out breakfast, and sure enough staff, food and atmosphere were right on par with our previous experience.
We will definitely make Rising Sun a go to place to experience great Food, Services and Atmosphere

Place is amazing. The atmosphere is fantastic. Food was really good. Service not so great. Waited almost 20 minutes at least from the time I got my drink at the bar until we requested from the bartender asking if we may order some food. We were never checked on....kind of wishing we would have waited to be seated for the outside dining which looked really nice rather than sitting at the bar right away.

Food was fantastic and ambiance was great! Had the rice bowl, sunshine sushi roll, and peach raspberry margarita. Loved everything. Decent-sized parking lot behind the restaurant. The bar and outdoor seating area both looked so cute! Staff was very friendly and personable. Wish I lived closer and wasn’t just visiting!
