The Roman Camp Bistro in Callander is a perfect destination for a day out in the country. The hotel is an old property with lots of charm and character, and the grounds are beautiful with flower beds, a river, and even some peacocks and ponies. Inside, you'll find an elegant lounge, a library, and a restaurant. The Potting Shed bistro is also a great spot for lunch, with outdoor seating adorned with fairy lights. The staff are very friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. From starters to mains to desserts, the menu has something for everyone. The set lunch menu is particularly good value, with three courses and canapés and petit fours. The cheese selection is also worth trying, with high-end unpasteurised fromage. Afternoon tea is also highly recommended. The atmosphere is refined but relaxed and welcoming, making it a great choice for a special occasion or just a casual lunch. Highly recommended!
