I am a local, and don't get out often. Went there 3 years ago with my dad before he passed away and with my family. I also sent two of my kids there before prom and a dance to have something different than the typical. Although not a great experience for them either, ny friend and I went today..A Sat at 2 pm. Walked in. Stood there for 5 min before we were looked at. 3 people walked by and said they'd be with us shortly, and we asked if we could just sit at a pub table at the bar. He yelled at the bar tender to ask if ok...as she rolled her eyes. We sat down with a menu provided. We weren't acknowledged or asked if we wanted water or anything. Not even a drink although we were at the bar. 20 min later we walked out and went to the Brewery and had a great beer and left for the Great Basin Brewery in which we had great service & food. We had a good experience for our anniversary. We had the hot cheese bread that took 15 minutes to cook but was still cold inside. It was delicious but I didn't eat it all. We had a very expensive dinner, it was the ribeye with a cheese lava on top of french fries with veggies. The flavor was amazing but the cut of meat was very fatty, and the cheese sauce made the fries soggy. The description sounded better than the dish actually was. Many choices are great. All the dishes are unique and very flavorful. A few of the staff are good. The prices are just a little bit high, but okay. All staff are homosexua,l which is pretty weird. I go there quite frequently. Especially love the shrimp tacos. I don't eat coleslaw, but always order their blue cheese coleslaw. My wife also especially love the mac and cheese. This is by far the best restaurant in Carson City. I frequent the area due to business travel and this is my go-to place. I've had the shrimp and grits, burgers, mac-n-cheese, and other things that I can't immediately remember, but everything I've had has been delicious. Myself and my co-workers literally go here every night they are open for dinner. The menu options are enormous and they always have a really good selection of craft beers on tap. My experience was excellent. I tried the bologna sandwich, which tasted amazing! I also had the lavender lemon drop drink, and it was good as well. The service was good!
