Took an hour to get our food. I ordered the Parmeasan Crusted Walleye, it was not cooked and rubbery the parmesan was just thrown on top of it , the green beans were not fresh, I asked if they were, the onion rings were weird tasting. The service was terrible, we asked for water and were told they come around with it, no ever came. She was very abrupt and didn't come around much. The salad bar was just okay, nothing special. We had a party of 5, not too busy, took 15 minutes to get 4 drinks and 50 minutes to get our food. “Broiled” shrimp was microwaved , baked potatoes were hard and tasted like microwaved as well. Batterfried shrimp was good , Jameson steak was not! Our server was Not even close to a waiter, young, didn’t really care, he made one excuse after another, 6th strike, he’s out! We had hoped things would get better at an old favorite, last 3 times, service and food horrible. Entertainment in bar area was very good! We will NOT be back. We are not the only ones, as we discovered at the bar for an after dinner drink. So unfortunate! New owner, good luck to you. I understand new owners just took over and there is going to be a period of figuring things out, but lunch was very disappointing. Selection was very generic and boring. I got the shrimp. The batter was soggy and flavorless. Also, which was really strange, the shrimp had no flavor. I pulled the batter off just to eat the shrimp, and it was like eating chewy air. Summary: Poor food. Poor service. Probably one of the worst experiences I’ve had in a restaurant. Steak was raw. Walleye did not look good. Baked potatos were cold and hard. Mashed potatoes cold and pretty sure they were instant. A pasta dish was good. The cod was as decent. The salad bar was the only thing that saved the day since the steak and walleye were inedible. Waitress was very disinterested. This was 630 on a Saturday night in the dining room. Hostess was kind and able to get us a pitcher of water. I grabbed paper towels at the hostess stand as the waitress never brought extras as we asked. Between taking our order and our food arriving she never stopped by. I don’t understand all the good reviews. Maybe this was simply a bad night but I wouldn’t come back. Bar looked decent. I would not recommend. Well where do I start... Biscuits and gravy. Gravy too thick no sausage in it sausage gravy supposed to have sausage in it. Let's just say the cheesy potatos and the scrambled eggs with potatoes and ham was the best thing of the breakfast. Let's just say I didn't even finish my Bloody Mary and beer chaser.
