Stopped here for lunch. Place was fairly empty when we arrived. Waiter seemed new, and service was slow. Never came back to check on us after food was delivered. Partner got a blue cheese burger and fries, which were good, but she wanted ketchup and we ended up having to flag down other staff to help. I got the French onion soup, which was fairly acidic, but decent. I also got the poke bowl. Big disappointment, the rice was clearly old, clumped together and hard. The tuna was either old, or a bad cut as it was very chewy and tough. The sauce they put on basically only tasted of vinegar. Overall very poorly balanced. Nice place in South Portland. The waitress we had was very friendly and professional. The interior feels very welcoming and had a nice environment. Simple yet elegant. The food was great and the other people I came with said the drinks were good too. Plenty of bar and table space so a great restaurant for any type of evening out you are looking for. Great food, service and atmosphere! I wish I had caught the name of our server, because he was fantastic!! We ordered the Crab Rangoon dip(appetizer) the Reuben Sandwich and the Open faced Turkey Dinner- not pictured. All were very good! The crab Rangoon dip was out of this world good! The crispy chicken sandwich was huge & tasty, steak tip poutine was cooked perfect as ordered & the chicken tenders were delicious. The menu offers mainly bar foods, hence the title Brewing Co. The good: food was excellent. The waitress was very friendly. The ok: atmosphere. It was completely forgettable. Neither good nor bad. It could be any generic restaurant. The bad: very understaffed. Sunday evening, the restaurant was half full and over a 30 minute wait. The host wasn't very welcoming or friendly. Best bartender in Portland, ME! Ashley was exceptional and friendly. The food options/portions were great. We had the Lobster Roll with fries and coleslaw. Plus the Scallops were delicious. Dessert consisted of Maine blueberries 🫐 with vanilla ice cream and the chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream.
