Stopped here on our way to Buena Vista. The food wasn't bad, but it wasn't to my taste. My dining companion ordered a combo plate with a pork tamale and a beef chimichanga. I ordered an enchilada suisa. My dining companion said his chimichanga was good. Filling. Definitely wasn't the best tamale he's ever eaten. My enchiladas had something (can't quite place it) that I didn't care for at all. But, I ate them. We sat on a little table outside. Cute place. It was super expensive. We waited over 30 minutes to take out 2 burritos with one table in the restaurant. My breakfast burrito had no flavor, and the potatoes tasted raw. Even the salsa was bland. The rude woman at the counter didn't ask if I'd like a drink while waiting or an update on how long the food might take. Look at their replies to other reviews, and you'll see the attitude to expect. At least I know I'm right because the customer is always right. Right? Alright here we go... so when you think of Woodland Park there's no way that you'd think there'd be authentic Mexican food here, i was quite skeptical.. to be clear, I'm a Latina from So Cal and it's extremely HARD to find authentic Mexican cuisine here in Colorado Springs or any mountain area. With that said, the ONLY reason why I'm not giving these guys a 5 stars is because I honestly thought the prices were a little too high for the plates.. BUTTTT the atmosphere is great, they have Mexican artwork, decor and pictures up. They got a little cute bar setup and tv set up. The staff was friendly and I expected to find Caucasian teens working here (nothing wrong with tha but we WERE in Woodlad Park) but you got a Hispanic staff here, the lady in the front was lovely and friendly. If I were to come back here it would be once in a blue moon because of the prices but it's definitely a spot to check out if you crave Mexican. The tacos de asada were great, arroz Rojo and beans tasted homemade and the bean and cheese chimichanga hit the spot! Service Take out Meal type Lunch Price per person $20–30

By far the best Mexican restaurant I have been to in a decade. Chips, salsa and cheese dip were amazing! (Why can’t I get cheese dip like this everywhere?). I tried the enchilada sampler - truly amazing!

Waited too long for our food to come out, way more than 40 mins, my husband got a quesadilla, I think it was beef and I got the tilapia Puebla. Food is not good and I think it’s too expensive, you can see the picture attached it’s worth $20 and my husband’s and same price. Total for 1 sitting is $50 without any drinks I finished my food because I was so hungry (I don’t even want to think what is the taste anymore cause I know it will take longer if I order another dish) specially we waited already for so long 😣 my husband don’t like his food but he just eat it because same reason he is hungry… but it’s gross sloppy quesadilla we just thought it was really slow service even there is only 2 tables including ours. My husband and I LOVE Mexican food. We always try to find new places to eat at. For our anniversary dinner we went to Serranos Mexican Bar and Grill in Woodland Park. It was fantastic. The salsa had great flavor (which is a key point for me to like a Mexican restaurant). My husband ordered the steak fajitas and I wish I had. the flavor was phenomenal, and the meat was almost grounded up and easy to place in the tortillas. I ordered the crispy chili relleno and an enchilada and both were very cheesy and tasted great. They were short staffed, but it didn’t matter. The server was quick and the we never had to ask for refills she was on top of every table! We even took extra sals home with us. I highly recommend this restaurant!

What a lovely quaint little spot off the Highway. I normally test certain foods from Mexican restaurants to see if they are “worthy” this time I tried something different than my usual shredded beef taco and cheese enchilada. I tried their ‘Pollo en Mole’ as I was debating between two dishes and the hostess was adamant it was the choice to make. I was pleasantly surprised! It was quite delicious! I’d have to say from all restaurants this was the closest to my mama’s mole. They get 4 stars, sorry...only mama gets 5 stars for Mexican. Lol. It’s delicious, the people there were so amazing and sweet and I loved all the little touches in the building for decor. Sorry...ate my food so fast, I didn’t take a pic! Will for sure stop in again if I pass this way! Thank you for a lovely dinner!
