The food here is pretty good. The salad bar is nice and they have a lot of options. Their main dishes were really good, one of our dishes the chicken was a little dry but it’s okay. It was hate and everyone has their own personal preferences. Our waitress though was fantastic! Shout out to Amya! She was so sweet and helpful 🥰 Meal type Dinner Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This Shoneys is the greatest all around restaurant. The waitress (Rebecca) who served us was awesome and all are great. Food is always great, nothing to complain about, only praise from us. I believe that satisfaction is the norm here. We were greeted the moment we walked through the front door. Always leave happy, full and very satisfied. One of the best places to eat in our state! We stopped by today and had lunch and they did not disappoint. Amanda was our server and she was excellent. The food was great and fresh !! Donna was wonderful and greeted us as soon as we walked in and it felt like home. The restaurant was very clean. I come in and out of Manning for work and was very pleased with my visit .. Not WOW'D about one of my favorite eatery's because the buffet was on the skinny side and the fried chicken seemed a little salty but maybe my taste buds were not helpful. The Italian sausages could have been cooked a little longer. Not enough food on this buffet. I should have looked at the buffet before getting it because at this point I should have ordered from the menu. Great Atmosphere and the waitress was great. So, I'm passing through the area. I stopped for the night and didn't want the fast food experience for dinner. I see Shoney's close to my hotel. I haven't been to a Shoney's in 30 plus years. I order the fried fish from my server, Amaya, who was very cheerful and professional. The fish was cooked to a crispy golden brown -- perfect. Thanks for a great dinner and excellent service. Still the same as I remember from childhood! I had thought all of these had closed down, but certainly glad that wasn't the case! Highly recommend, we had the breakfast buffet for supper. We love their breakfast buffet, it always offers a wide variety of food, including breakfast items, salad items and dessert as well.the even have an ice cream machine for the kid in us. Walked in, we were greeted with a smile and 'welcome to Shoney's'. We were seated immediately. Service was great! The food was flavorful, and well seasoned. All payments are accepted, but paying with cash is probably better because there is a 3% charge. There is a menu if you don't want to eat from the buffet. We've been here twice on our way through town this weekend up to VA for our niece's wedding and now on our way back home to Florida. We used to have Shoney's in Florida - in Bradenton, even - but they closed them all YEARS ago, like 20 years ago. I was not happy then, and I do miss a good salad bar. Now that Sweet Tomatoes is closed for good, there aren't any good salad bars around. Anyway, this Shoney's had a good breakfast bar on Thursday when we came through on our way up to VA. I had ordered spaghetti, but it came with meat sauce on it, so I sent it back and asked for just noodles with cheese and it was good! Not Mac n cheese by any means. This time, Sunday, I got the buffet, which was the home style buffet. Mostly, it's fried chicken, ham, turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, etc, but there was some awesome Mac & cheese (the real stuff), buttermilk biscuits, and peach cobbler. Then, of course, I had a HUGE salad, and it was so good! They had the pea salad, with the mayonnaise and pimentos and cheese... Yum! Then the unsweetened tea was so delicious! It was made with a special tea leaf, so flavorful. Or maybe it had cinnamon in it? Whatever it was, I could drink that tea every day. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $10–20

It’s been many years since I’ve been to a Shoney’s (since I was a child). I was traveling into my way home so I had to try it again. Typical southern food buffet. I had a salad to start and then the chicken dinner plate pictured. It wasn’t like how grandma does it but it was good. Tried to get ice cream and cobbler for dinner but the ice cream was extra soft even for soft serve. Waitress was super friendly and attentive. I would eat here again.
