We loved the “neighborhood bar” vibe in Shutes. They have a friendly staff and are definitely worth a visit if you are in Calumet. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Cannot say enough about Shutes! First off, Pat is incredible and made our experience even more special and his special Bloody Mary is spectacular (summer season treat so get it while it lasts!). Bar was built in 1890, everything is original except the current mural and furniture/appliances. You must stop in and stay a bit! Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Girls weekend, stumbled across this bar and so glad we did. A piece of Michigan history! Originally an 1890 Italian club. Was told it was the oldest bar in Michigan. Beautiful doesn't do justice to the inside of this place. Classic, elegant, must see bar, cabinets, ceiling and awning. Friendly knowledgeable bartender and tasty drinks!! Didn't get a chance to eat here. Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
