We came with a group, the name of the restaurant is Blij (Happy) but can definitely say that i am not Happy with our experience. We ordered the Nachos, these were just a bunch of Doritos with cheese put in the microwave with a sauce next to it. Definitely not worth it. After that we ordered a couple of burgers with the fries coming 30 minutes before. The burgers were all cold, which was also the case with all the other plates. Not only did we wait way too long for our plates to come, but when they finally arrived they were all cold. The worst thing though was the Salmon for 22 euros that could literally be eaten in two bites. Overall really disappointed with the food and experience. My recent visit to Stadscafé Blij in Zwolle left much to be desired. While the establishment had a lot of potential, it fell short due to its peculiar table arrangement. The tables were placed in a way that made it seem like you were dining with total strangers, which created an uncomfortable and intrusive atmosphere. The lack of privacy and personal space greatly detracted from the overall dining experience. It felt as though you were eavesdropping on neighboring conversations and had limited room to enjoy your meal in peace. Despite this disappointing aspect, there were some positive aspects to mention. The menu offered a decent variety of dishes, and the food itself was reasonably good. The service was attentive and friendly, which helped to somewhat offset the awkward seating arrangement. In summary, while Stadscafé Blij had potential, the uncomfortable table placement overshadowed the positives. It's a place I'd hesitate to revisit unless they address the issue of seating arrangement to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience. Great restaurant on a beautiful spot: in the center of Zwolle next to a square. It's an amazing atmosphere and a great place to eat. The food was okay, for the amount of money I would have liked some more food and the taste was great, but could be better. Doesn't mean that is wasn't a great evening and nice experience, I liked it a lot overall. Would recommend eating here. Not great. The nachos deluxe tasted fine, but got me some slight stomach issues after (but i am also very sensitive!). It was pretty dirty outside and the staff was not attentive at all. The toilets didnt have any toilet paper or paper to dry your hands and the desinfectant for the toilet seat was also empty. Experience was okay but not amazing. During our holiday in the Netherlands we visited Blij in the city of Zwolle. We chose this restaurant because of his location. The restaurant is located in the city center of Zwolle. The building is an old manor house with a very big terrace. When we visited Blij the weather was good and many people were eating and drinking outside. I can advise you to reserve a table when you want to eat here. This was because when we came we needed to eat inside because the terrace was already fully booked. The menu was not very special but good. They have a lot of beers and cocktails on the menu. As an appetizer I took the duck and my wife the triple croquettes. These were not special. As a main dish I took the schnitzel and my wife the satay. Like the appetizer, these were not special. I gave the restaurant 4 stars because the location is good and the dishes are good but not special. But the price quality ratio is good. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €70–80

Very nice restaurant with big terrace. Food was delicious and fresh. We had drinks, appetizers, shrimp with fries and weed burger. It was busy and we had to wait for some time for the food, but staff was friendly and service good. Very nice location in the city center.

Stadscafe BLIJ was cooperative when I contacted them through email. They reserved and arranged a table, and made sure my party of 10 was more than comfortable from 12 to over 16 o'clock. The staff was kind, the lunch dishes GREAT
