A very quaint little period restaurant with inviting decor and very attentive staff. Though it's off the 101 it was tricky getting to when driving north. Probably due to freeway construction. But totally worth the circuitous route. Food was good and the atmosphere was perfect for a beachy breakfast. Summerland Beach Cafe is my single favorite establishment I’ve ever patronized. They have had incredibly consistent and friendly staff for decades along with an unbeatable menu of hearty breakfast and lunch options with a comforting atmosphere overlooking the idyllic Summerland. In my dozens to hundreds of times dining here I have never had a bad experience I would recommend the King Olds Combo for anyone looking to try a wide variety of their iconic breakfast options Service Dine in Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We choose here because i filtered dog allowed at Yelp and we have cats. Then I was told that only dog allowed but not cats. Although we got in by promising to keep cats in the carriage (we always do that), the staff at front definitely doesn’t like cats, implying that cats are more difficult than dogs. The service was good, wait staff are attentive. The food was run of the mill, generous portions. The door is left open, so I was fighting off the flies. It took away from the dining experience.
