The atmosphere is cozy and rustic, with a bear skin on the wall and antler chandeliers. The food is delicious, with favorites like the Prime Rib dinner, French Dip, Cobb Salad, and homemade pies. Prices are reasonable and portions are generous. The only downside is that there are a few house flies buzzing around, but the excellent service and food more than make up for it. Proper, old school town diner-cafe. Service very friendly and efficient, comfortable and homey atmosphere. Good menu choices, with a limited vegetarian offering (but sufficient). I didn't have any, but the pies and desserts looked amazing and were freshly baked - I will start with dessert on the next visit! My husband took me for a drive to see where he use to work ( 90 minutes away) and we decided to drive a little further to Cle Elum to have lunch at the Sunset Cafe which we googled and read reviews beforehand. We both ordered the Cheese Bacon Burger because we read that they make their own ground beef. Hamburger was delicious 😋. Our server, Emily was very friendly and helpful as well as the other girls working in our area. They are known for their homemade pies so we bought a cherry crumble whole pie to take home. We had it for dessert, it was very good. We will be driving the long drive to go back to try their breakfast and dinners in the future. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Nice little restaurant in town. We stopped in for a bite. We were a bit confused about wether you seat yourself, or wait for a host. Then someone moved and we saw the sign saying the host will seat us.. Big selection. Food came out pretty fast. Very pleasant waitress. Not overly crowded. Overall it was a good experience. I actually came here for the pie. I love pie. A friend told me about Free Pie Wednesdays at the Sunset. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan and Manicotti but unfortunately they were out of the latter. The kind server said it was ok to order the beef stew. When our dinners came, we were both speechless. The food is amazing! So savory and flavorful! That when you burp it tastes just as good the second time. Yes I said that. I’ll be coming back next Wednesday! Vibe like the local diner. Delicious food. Everything was done well and seems to be home made. Had a breakfast. Fresh baked sour dough was perfect and a homemade raspberry jam to go with it. Everything else(over easy eggs, bacon, hash browns) was cooked spot on. Friendly staff. Prices seemed a bit high for a traditional breakfast at $16. Might be pretty normal now days? Best place I have ever eaten! Homemade bread, literally all of the bread served here is homemade. Food was delicious, not over priced and the service was excellent even on a very busy night. All kinds of yummy homemade desserts too. We will definitely be back! We ate lunch here today and it was so good we came back for dinner.
