We took a chance on this place during our road trip and it was absolutely delightful! Small little tavern with lots of character and very good food. The portions are very generous and the staff were wonderful. Highly recommend! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Happily we found this place by other restaurants not working out. The first restaurant wasn't open yet, the second restaurant only accepted cash, we only had a debit card so we searched restaurants nearby. On our third try we found Tavern on the trail. It is very clean and welcoming as soon as you enter the tavern. Our bartender was very friendly to everyone there. The sandwiches we ordered were delicious. I had a steak sandwich and my wife had a chicken steak sandwich. We will definitely be returning there on our next visit to the area. It's a short drive from the turnpike and the Poconos, tucked right off the main hill on Main St, in downtown White Haven, PA. Very small, but well worth the visit. Christian served not only as the greeter, but the barman, server and comedy show! The food was quick, delicious and HOT! I was so taken by it all that I forgot to grab some pics of the inside AND my food! I did have leftovers and they should be in a commercial! Even cold and 2 days old my cheesesteak looks amazing!
