If you happen to be around Emerson Cultural Center, visit this steakhouse. It's worth coming to Ted's Montana Grill to try nicely cooked bison meat, bison burgers and strawberry shortcake. The cooks here prepare good brownies, vanilla ice cream and cheesecakes. Order delicious draft beer, wine or scotch, it's a must while visiting this place. The bison filet was outstanding! If you haven’t tried bison before and enjoy beef steaks, it’s definitely worth a try. The sides were really good as well and they had a nice selection of wine pairings. All servers were friendly and attentive. It was a great dining experience well worth the price. You will NOT leave Ted's Montana Grill in Bozeman, MT hungry! The generous portions they provide will ensure the heartiest appetite is satisfied. They have a very diverse menu that will appeal to a variety of palettes. If you order a burger or steak, make SURE you clarify more than once how you would like it cooked. If you do not like a lot of red or pink in your meat, this is a very important point to remember during your visit. The service from the time you enter the restaurant until the moment you leave is top-notch. I thought the service was amazing. From the moment we walked in, the staff were friendly and attentive. The overall restaurant has a romantic atmosphere to it and it’s perfect for a date night. We passed it on Valentine’s Day and it was packed! However, I didn’t absolutely love my food, though my partner did love his Bison steak. I ordered the Bison brisket with garlic mashed potatoes and buttered broccoli and out of everything my favorite were the mashed potatoes. The brisket just tasted bland, unfortunately. I also found the lemonade to be quite flavorful and refreshing, so highly recommend trying it! Ted’s is in a fun vibrant part of downtown. It’s located in an historic hotel from the 30s. The atmosphere was enviting and nostalgic. It was a bit loud given it was Friday night but not too overbearing. The service was fine. No complaints but nothing remarkable or noteworthy good or bad. The food was good with some mixed results on the main dishes. Our group of 6 got salmon, chicken (pictured), beef ribeyes, bison brisket, and bison short ribs (pictured). Ranking worst to best of what I tried: beef ribeye (much tougher and chewier than I expected cooked at medium), chicken breast (flavorful but on the overcooked/dry side), and bison short ribs (VERY flavorful and moist, highly recommend). I didn’t ask how the others thought the salmon and bison brisket were. Based on their reactions I’d say ok to average … no one was glowing about them or complaining. The sides were better and more consistent. My favorites were the Parmesan broccoli (well cooked with a good bite and slightly smoky flavor), baked potato (average), 50-50 fries and rings (rings were the better of the two), and kale salad (a favorite amongst several) It’s not the most expensive and not the cheapest in town. We didn’t order any apps or alcohol and including gratuity it was about $40 a person. I’d likely return but be selective in what I choose. OUTSTANDING VEGGIE BURGER, I've had many veggie burgers and this one tops them all, however thetoppings could have been the size to match the burger...hahaha. .SERVICE WAS AWESOME, CAITY CAT WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND HELPFUL....ATMOSPHERE was pleasing. I truly appreciated the great service! My waitress was very polite and friendly!!! She provided me with recommendations. I tried Bison for the first time. I’m glad I had it from here first! The asparagus was delicious! If it allowed more stars I'd give them! I went here for "my" Thanksgiving dinner" Sunday and had a Bison filet mashed potatoes and green beans. OH MY GOSH!!!I've traveled around the world and this was the best meal I have ever had hands down. No lie. It was so good, and the service so great, I had Taryn, I went back last night again! I had a Bison Burger Med rare with bacon and blue cheese and fresh cut fries and garlic aoli ..... oh lord the flavor.... so because I thought they would get sick of me drooling... I got my dinner for tonight and tomorrow in takeout! I got the Bison short ribs with mashed potatoes and green beans and pulled Bison and green beans! My choice for potatoes and green beans there was lots of choices for 2 sides with each meat! I figure by Thursday I'm safe to go back for another steak.... YOU HAVE TO EAT HERE WHEN YOU ARE IN BOZEMAN!!! I wonder if I can get them to FED EX ME SOME HOME? We got seated pretty quick upon arrival. Our server, Alyssa was great, very nice and friendly. I had the beef filet mignon with sides and everything was cooked to my liking. The food was really, really good. Get a side of ranch for your fries or onion rings, you won't regret it. The bison is very tasty, all of the burgers are very good. The service is definitely slow, so be prepared to wait, at least while you're waiting, you get these yummy pickles to snack on! More restaurants should have pickles instead of bread!
