My first time coming back here since college in 2020. Atmosphere is still quaint and quirky, but that's the best thing Terra Cotta has going for it. Food was not great quality, which I don't expect from restaurants, but it was e x t r e m e l y overpriced for what it is. My husband got a burrito, which was about half the size of a burrito at other breakfast places. Our service was also pretty apathetic -- she was the only one there that morning so we cut her some slack. I ordered a breakfast sandwich but requested no bagel, which in my mind seems pretty straightforward, but this seemed to push her over the edge. She also gave my husband his coffee without a lid on it, which seemed weird to me. She didn't ask whether we were dining in or doing takeout and did our order as takeout, which wasn't a big deal but a little puzzling. I paid $9 for a burrito expecting it to be a substantial size, but it was not substantial, it was very measly. It did not satisfy my hunger, so to finish breakfast, I needed to snack on some homemade yogurt, half a peach, and some venison jerky that I had recently made. This is a little gem of a place in Alfred, NY, hosting customers from the two colleges, both students and staff. It has a great variety of curry dishes available, in addition to its more traditional breakfast menu. There is some seating downstairs and much more upstairs, including outdoors. The staff are very friendly, accommodating, and helpful. This is a nice, relaxing place to eat in, or take back to the dorm or office. Wonderful, friendly and helpful staff. The coffee (jomakamecrazy) was the BEST I’ve ever had! And the blueberry muffins scrumptious! Lovely atmosphere. Just made my morning delightful!

Walked to the Terracotta around 3 pm. Ordered a Thai Curry with chicken not on the online menu. If you are looking for something other than coffee or the usual gluten-rich food, go there in person. The dish I ordered came from the specials. Absolutely delicious!! Currys are usually either too hot or too salty for me, but this dish has just the right amount of sweetness from small pieces of fruit in the very generous vegetable side, just the right amount of piquancy from the sauce and there was quite a bit of the not at all salty shredded chicken. The whole thing was marvelous!! Will come back any day for this wonderful experience. Pricey, but it was worth every penny and there was enough there for 2 small meals. THANK YOU!!

Nice little place in the middle of Alfred. Walking distance from both colleges. Unfortunately, on the day I went the griddle was broken so choices were limited so I just grabbed a couple of pastries. Very nice and helpful staff. Service Take out Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10

Had the chance to stop here today and grab an iced coffee and a Greek Focaccia sandwich that was delicious and I couldn't pass up the bakery counter and I couldn't make up my mind and brought 3 different "Midnight Snacks" home with me 🤗 Service was very friendly and I'm sure when Alfred Is in session this location is Crazy Busy

I love Terra Cotta. It's super cute and quaint. The vanilla chai is wonderful and now they have gluten free biscuits for the breakfast sandwiches. They are expanding their GF options, which makes me happy 😊

Amazing service and food. Prices are another story, yet worth the try. The environment is nice to just chill, read, have formal and causal meetings, and lot more. Come and stop by!!!
