Well, this is a far cry better than the last time I visited this chain. Peanut shell free floor is most noticeable (thanks for doing away with that.) Our server, was amazing I wish I could remember how to spell her name. She was on her job making sure my friends and I were very happy. The atmosphere is still pretty much as I remember but also much cleaner in my opinion. The food surprised me and my prime rib was AWESOME AF, couldn't eat the whole thing but you know I brought it home. The food, the quality of the food, is Amazing, and value is Awesome! The service is AWESOME! Food is served hot! Servers check on you! The restaurant is very clean, and well laid out. Restroom was very clean! The Manager literally walks the floor, and checks in on all the guests! It’s a family restaurant, so it’s very loud…, but that is to be expected! Prepare to wait! Parking is plentiful and free, however, no valet parking. The lot is usually very full! YES! It’s that popular and Good! Didn't take to long g to get seated Mango margarita was good. Steak string beans a little salty. Steak so so. The mushrooms on the Steak did not look Appetizing. Very cool temp biscuits were awesome with their special cinnamon butter. Chicken fried steak baked potato and string beans were so good. I love the chicken fried steak in the gravy. I'm very picky when it comes to my chicken fried steak and gravy. I will be making the cinnamon butter soon that was so good. Their chili was good but I made better. My wife and daughter split the ribs they were very tender very good. I was definitely pleased and I will definitely go back and the price was not bad either for the three of us 69 bucks. My first expectations when I came to this national chain steakhouse was very low, kind of like when Boston Market served prime rib. SURPRISE, food was tasty. I ordered the 12 oz prime rib and I thought the serving was 12 oz, if not more. It came out the way I ordered it, flavorful and tender. The sides were decent size, but the baked potato was on the small size (for American portions). Staff was attentive and friendly. Atmosphere, not a fan of the country decor and the sound was a bit elevated, but tolerable and no one in our group had to project their voice. We came Sunday a little after 1:30 and there was a line, but we were seated within 15 minutes. When we left, the line. The only issue, there was a sign saying they were out of bread, but they brought us some just before we were served our food. I don't understand why this place is so popular. 1.5 hour wait for something on par with Applebee's. Truthfully, Applebee's is better. Sat down with bread and no butter. Had to ask twice for butter. Bread was cold by then. 8oz Filet Med Rare and couldn't get it right. After sending it back, it still looked like this! What self respecting steakhouse can't cook a Med Rare Filet? Literally, it looks like 1 min per side. Cold baked potato and raw vegetables. The manager took care of my meal, but the rest of my table was pretty much done by the time I got my food. When I asked for the manager to come out, his overly fake concern and apology was laughable. What is with the air-conditioning here? It is freezing! To think, this was supposed to be my birthday dinner. I would rather drive to "The Firehouse" in Sac for a real steak. One star for the food. One star because he comped my meal. We will not return.
