I’m pretty picky with Thai food but I’ve found my new favorite spot. I got here on a Sunday afternoon right as they opened and it soon got busy. I sat at the bar (they have plenty of seating here or at tables/booths) but it’s a real comfortable vibe no matter what you choose. Kristyn waited on me and she is awesome, she’s extremely personable and on top of everything even as the dining room began to fill up with lunch patrons. She recommended both dishes I ended up trying once I gave her an idea of what I was craving, and I could tell she really meant it/took pride in her job. She was really cheerful and a big reason this place has such a welcoming, relaxed feel that you sense as soon as you walk in. This was genuinely one of the best and liveliest dining experiences I’ve had in a long time thanks to her. The food speaks for itself - I got the Crying Tiger (thinly sliced beef) for an appetizer and the butter udon noodles for my entree. The beef is really tender and comes with a spicy tangy dipping sauce that compliments it well.The noodles were cooked to the perfect softness and they’re served on top of ground chicken (a rare gem) with Chinese broccoli, small mushrooms, and a soft boiled egg on top. I had to catch a second wind before I could finish everything but between talking to Kristyn and the other bar patrons it felt like I was only there twenty minutes. There’s a lot of really cool and creative items on the drink menu as well, and they were themed to the closest holiday which is awesome. Some even come in virgin form so there’s something for everyone. I tried the fruit punch mix that had grape/apple/pineapple among other juices, topped with Sweethearts candy for Valentine’s Day. Ordered takeout at the bar. Currently waiting more than 40 minutes while people who arrived 20+ minutes after us are served their meals. Absolutely ludicrous.*update* added mushrooms to one dish that we requested without and did not include rice with the curry. Meal so so exceptional that I needed to leave a review before leaving the restaurant. Service was fast and friendly, prices are very reasonable, food was fantastic. We got Pad Thai and Gyudon But, if you need any more reason to go. Take this from a fellow restaurant owner. You can always tell how clean/well run a kitchen is off of judging the cleanliness of their hood exhaust. This is clean! The owners obviously care about their restaurant. We will be back. First off, this was all takeout dining. Tofu was very dry. Drunken Noodles and Tom Kha were not spicy even when specifically requested. Noodles good texture, pineapple fried rice tasted pretty solid (sweet exactly as expected). Overall would try another place and come back if others were worse. Food: 4 Service: 5
