We stopped in to the acclaimed Beach Bar on New Year’s Day. The Beach Bar has a great reputation for its food and live music. We’d watched it from their live feed while back in the States. It’s a colorful, fun, high energy place.
It was super crowded, and we ended up ordering conch fritters, picking up a couple drinks at the bar, then sitting at the tables on the beach, and we were told our order would come to us. After a 20-minute wait, I went up to check on our order. About 10 minutes later, it arrived. Despite the long wait, the fritters were crispy and delicious. We probably would have ordered more drinks, except for that long wait! But we’ll definitely go back on our next visit, and hopefully, it won’t be so busy. After all, it WAS New Year’s Day!

Shorter blonde bartender is a miserable person. Unbelievable she chooses to work in this industry. It’s not for her. Be better. Other than that, food, staff, and atmosphere is great.

We spent 10 days in St John and every night we ended it at The Beach bar to hear different bands from different parts of the states and lots of cool local bands. We loved them all. We couldn’t help but dance every night. The service was excellent. We loved all of the bartenders!They balanced and served a super busy bar and kept every one satisfied and topped off. The drink specials are all awesome and delicious and will sneak up on you because they taste like dessert and not alcohol. The food was all tasty. To be honest, we enjoyed our food here more than the expensive steak dinner we had a couple of blocks over. Even the cooks were friendly and took time to talk to us. The location couldn’t be any better. Right on the beach. I loved that I could walk down the steps, adult beverage in hand, 50 feet away from the stage, listening to the beats the band played, danced a little dance as I walked barefoot in the sand, to put my feet in the water and smoke marijuana legally. Now that’s how you vacation. What better way to end each night?
