French Onion Soup
Dined here last Saturday evening- we walked in and they only had a table available in the bar, which ended up being perfect. I believe our server was Jim, and he was fantastic! Down to earth but professional and knowledgeable- also armed with a few suggestions when we couldn’t decide. He was attentive but not intrusive- just really great! Our food was phenomenal - we started with the mussels appetizer which was delicious - possibly the best broth I’ve ever had! Everyone else seems to use garlic butter, but this was a clear rich lemony broth with chopped tomatoes- so good!
My friend ordered the pork schnitzel dinner special, and he loved it. I had been wanting to try chicken livers which I hadn’t had since I was a kid, and wasn’t sure if I would like them, but thought if anyone could make them delicious it would be Bistro. Lo and behold, they had an appetizer portion (more than enough), and they were very good. I don’t think I’ll ever order them again, but that’s on me- they were just something I needed to try after so many years.
Unfortunately we were too full for dessert (next time!), but they had several beautiful options.
This restaurant has always been a fave, we will definitely be back and hopefully get Jim as our server again!

Incredible food, excellent staff, quiet and intimate atmosphere, all for a reasonable price. My wife and I love going here for our evenings out together.
Pro hint: leave room for dessert! All made in house, all excellent!
