Came here for lunch with a work team. Most had brisket and the brisket was disappointing. I had the brisket sandwich with slaw and fried pickles. The brisket was fatty and sloppy. The bread couldn’t hold up to the juice and fell apart. I ate the brisket separately. Seemed more like it was made in a slow cooker with liquid smoke. The table was disappointed . Good pulled pork and chicken sandwiches. The fried pickles could be seasoned a little more but they were good a crisp 😋 Reasonably priced for the amount and quality of food you receive, friendly and welcoming workers. First time customer visiting Elkin for a music show. Amazing barbecue, friendly staff and unbelievable service! The food was at our table before we got our drinks and condiments. They could have made two sandwiches out of all the pork on one sandwich. Their “starters” are cool - the fried pickles and fried Mac & cheese bites were especially good. Went in with high hopes but came out extremely disappointed. Paid $45 for a grilled brisket cheese sandwich and a two meat platter. Food came out quick and the staff was friendly. The "grilled" cheese had cold shredded cheese, cold brisket, and stale bread. The two meat platter was cold also and not flavorful. The banana pudding was good but I will not be returning.
