I ordered the small plate of hummus and my husband had shrimp and grits which we shared. The shrimp and grits were delicious. The hummus with crostini and crackers was great. Our past visits to the restaurant have also been very good. The lady who served our food was very kind and conscientious. I had a cup of coffee as well and it was great 😃. The cost was around $25 for everything. I can't tell you how many times we paid over $50 at other restaurants and had the food be terrible, so I was very pleased with $25. First time at The Flipside was a great experience! Our server for the night was Kim and she was amazing! She started off by telling us about the specials they have & suggested their trout dish, automatically brought a water in a cup with a lid for our kid, chatted with us for a bit & got our food in right away. We started off with 2 pineapple expresses that were very refreshing! We ordered the small charcuterie board and calamari for appetizers. Calamari was flavorful & fried to PERFECTION! The charcuterie board was a fine selection of delectable meats and cheeses. The strawberries & fig compote was a great combination! For entrées we got the chicken Alfredo, chicken and dumplings & the trout with andouille sausage &shrimp gumbo that came with a side of fresh green beans. For dessert we got 2 strawberry shortcakes! I can honestly say, I haven't cleaned off a plate at a restaurant in a very long time..but as you can see by the photos..IT WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS! Flavorful, cooked perfectly & with a little spice! We thank the staff at The Flipside for contributing to an awesome date night & we will be back! If you’re looking for good American food with interesting flavors and ideas, this is the place. The food is very good but a bit pricey but the portion sizes are good. The interior is a bit messy and could use some work. The service is sweet and helpful but a bit slow. OMG. Every thing on this menu looked so overwhelmingly awesome. It was hard to make a decision. Glad I live close so I can try everything. The server knew about EVERYTHING on the menu and she was CORRECT about what we ordered. Amazing food. Amazing service. Ten stars. Highly recommend. Please stay forever.
