What a neat place to dine in, the atmosphere brings you back in time. We were impressed by how good the food tasted. The serving was generous and the prices were fair. We didn't have room for desserts this time so we will be back. We came back again and I had their crab cake sandwich which was amazing. This restaurant is becoming one of my favorite places to go. Absolutely fantastic food and service. I ordered the shrimp and grits and a side of the mashed potatoes. I don’t usually like grits that much, but the menu said they grow and mill the corn at Mount Vernon itself, so I had to try them. They did not disappoint! The mashed potatoes were good but not anything extraordinary like the shrimp and grits were. If you order the shrimp and grits though, don’t bother with a side, I could barely finish all my food It was so rich and filling! The waitress was also extremely polite and helpful. One of the most unique places to dine in the United States. Very cool spot indeed! Also there is rv parking alongside the circle so it is a great option for those traveling with more than four wheels. Enjoy! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

We love this place - it has always very good quality food for still reasonable prize, super friendly staff, extreme nice environment. You definitely need to reserve a table unless you come at less popular times. We love to combine it of course with a walk on the museum site, but you can visit the Inn independent from the museum.
