Had our Valentine’s dinner tonight. .Ambiance was lacking something fierce. No romantic music, no romantic lighting. Barely any interaction at the Chef’s table. Didn’t get our dessert, no creamer or sweetener for coffee. Don’t mind paying for the experience of good food and good service. I am not sure why it's taken me so long to write a review, but here it goes. Hands down our favorite restaurant in the Augusta area. The food is always amazing, fresh, and different compared to what's offered around the area. We loved their food and service so much, that we chose to have our wedding rehearsal dinner here. Eli (Chef) was very easy to work with, as I'm kind of a picky pants and he changed our menu around a few times. He had the restaurant decorated with flowers and candles. The place looked so inviting, but also casual (as this is our style). He accommodated our love for metal music with a great Playlist as well. The food was on point (as it always is!) And our guests were very impressed with the food. We still get compliments about our dinner and it was back in 2021. I honestly can't say enough great things about The Oak Table. Totally worth going if you haven't tried it and if you have tried it and haven't gone back, what's your deal?! Amazing food! Amazing service! Amazing experience! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The way the menu is presented by the waiter is you can order a la carte but we very much recommend you do the tasting menu and order 1 item from each of the 4 courses. So, you are basically pushed into that. I would have been far more pleased w a couple of items from the 4th course than I was with 1 from each. The fish sticks were over cooked really taking away from the beautiful white fish drying it out. The haddock cheeks were served w a thick batter and fried, again not allowing this rarely found cut of fish to shine. We found the pork belly nicely done and the glaze a very nice touch. The beef cheek was nicely done. The custard portion of the creme brule was perfection, but the sugar crust was a bit over fired to the point of being too bitter. Me and my best friends went there last night in the snow storm for our reservation. We’re not sure but we think they kept the restaurant open for just us. We felt so thankful as we were celebrating their birthdays and one of our friends pregnancies! The food and service was top tier. Everything was delicious. The chef came to thank us at the end of our meal. Our server was very sweet and attentive! We felt like they truly went above and beyond. We will be back! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
