First time there, ordered the "famous" pork chop dinner. Was not impressed. It was dry and not very flavorful. There may be other dishes that are better, but with the cost, I'm not willing to try anything else when the most famous dinner they offer was just mediocre. I'm also a very good cook and a chef, so I'm a little pickier than the average person. Craving some good barbecue, I happened upon this place in Midlothian, Illinois. Ribs were tender but not seasoned, another place that relies on the sauce to carry the ribs. Ribs tasted par boiled or steamed in an oven and then slathered with BBQ Sauce. Sides included some god-awful cornbread, tasteless corn on the cob, frightening potatoes and terrible brussel sprouts. One of the best restaurants to visit in the south suburbs. I enjoy Hog Wild every time I visit, whether it's picking up food to go or dining in. The owners, and the staff are very friendly. You are always greeted with a smile, or a nice welcome. If you enjoy great food, and a very friendly family style restaurant, this is the place for you. You get large portions, and very tasty food. Don't forget to get some cheesecake or atomic cake when you visit. Don't forget to say hi to Mike!
