The truth is that you will really like nicely cooked ribs, French onion soup and onion strings. Most likely, you'll return to this bar later to try delicious beer. I haven't visited in about 20 years. It was everything I remember. We had clam strips, potato skins, steak tips, chicken parm. And a few....delicious cold beers and Wallys. Definitely our treat day. The food was giant portions. Hot, fresh and delicious. Olivia was our server. We were on date night. We have super busy lives and we definitely needed this. She was so fun. Personable, professional and definitely knows her menu. She was awesome. Thank you T-House for being exactly what I remembered. We will be back May 20. Eva was our server this time. Had a few Wallys, colors lights. An 1800 for desert lol. The burgers Omg hot off the grill and delicious. Best Cole slaw ever and I'm a Cole slaw junkie. Eva was spot on. Friendly. Knew her menu. She got it right. We will make this one of our regular haunts. Hasn't changed. That's why it's great June 27 2024. Melissa. Great personality. Completely knowledgeable about her menu and bar. She gave my request of ingredients to bar and I got the most delicious shot. I'm bias. Retired professional bartender. THouse never disappoints. Once in a while I need a break from career and our hectic schedule. Best food. Best service. Waited an hour for dinner, saw other tables that were seated after we ordered get their food and be finished before ours came out. Brought it to the attention of the "owner" and got a " sorry we're busy" and nothing else. By this time I'm too pissed to eat and they don't even offer a single thing as an apology. I used to go there frequently, but I'll never go back.

Food is so bad it's inedible. This is a bar that happens to serve food. I went thinking it was a restaurant. Might be fine for drinks, but don't expect food you can or should eat. Housemade everything (Onion rings, mozz sticks w/marinara, fried pickles, Buffalo chicken rangoons, and stuffed mushrooms), and it was all delicious. The burger was cooked perfectly, and the house rootbeer was great as well! I was raised in Townsend and I've been around the area my whole life. In that time I've seen a lot of things change, but never the Townsend House. It's a great family restaurant with great food. We got there at 6:30 on a Saturday night, the place was pretty full, and they still made room for us. Food came quickly and everything was great. Kudos to the staff, especially the waitress, she was friendly and quick even though the place was full and our order was complicated.
