Extra Special Bitter was the name of this beer (I think). It was delicious. The bartender told me that this particular brewery location used to be a meeting place for minutemen during the revolutionary war. The beer tap handles are bayonets. I go here to get my growler filled, it's not especially cheap but they never let me down with the quality. They have a golden Ale that is a go-to for me. It is their lowest ABV and very drinkable with loads of flavor. Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

So much want to love this place. Great space, fantastic beers and a great menu - at least on paper. Our second time here and both times we’ve left with the same reaction - the food is just meh and very underwhelming. Could be great though, just seems like it’s lacking in any depth of flavor. We had “True West” wings - which supposedly were both fire roasted and then deep fried. No way they were . They came out soft and almost “gummy”. Also got the Juicy Lucy Rangoons, which tasted just like ground beef without much seasoning. We also got the Beef on Weck - the roast beef was fatty, cut too thick and bland. The bottom bun was drenched in so much sauce and made me think it sat around for a bit before getting to the table. Best thing we ate was the side of fries. The staff was friendly and the beer is worth coming back for. Don’t think I’d eat here again. Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4

I generally love True West, but was disappointed to find they no longer have fried pickles on the menu. So sad because of this. True West fried pickles were the reason why I searched the world looking for the perfect fried pickles. No one even came close. Beer is great, but the menu is limited.
