Friday Night Fish Fry was AMAZING! Fresh Battered Perch Good Homemade Tarter Sauce. Salad Bar was NOT Handicap Accessible Very Tight Squeeze to make a salad but overall VERY GOOD. We stayed at nearby motel in December 2023 and we were tired as we arrived but needed something to eat. We checked out nearby restaurants and were somewhat nervous to try the place right next door due to reviews , We were traveling south for the winter through Madison.The place was just what we were looking for. Service was excellent. We shared a patty melt and had each had a drink. The atmosphere was lively and had a very welcoming ambiance. There was a pool tournament going on that looked very fun , if you played pool, and the bar was filled with people that all greeted each other and were very friendly. A couple that entered as we did went out of their way to make room for us at the bar. Our waitress could not have been better, friendly and efficient. It seemed like the google reviews were all people from the past that had made comments and I thought we should share that this was a very good experience if you are looking for a place to have good food in nice friendly atmosphere.Good job Wisconsin!! Casual place with a friendly atmosphere. Not busy on a Saturday afternoon. We all thought the food was really good - Philly steak, Fish sandwich and a chicken wrap. Very local atmosphere, they have a free salad bar sometimes. Service seemed very good so that was super nice. The fish portions are a little lower than average but I forgot they had the salad bar. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This restaurant/bar has a typical Wisconsin bar atmosphere. We went on a Friday night for their fish fry and was unimpressed! First the waitress forgot our appetizer completely, and to top it off my walleye was FULL of bones, so much so that I could barely eat it. If you are going here, avoid the cod and walleye and just go with the perch which doesn't typically have that many bones. The salad bar is hidden in the back and was basic and boring.
