In this restaurant I celebrated my birthday, we came for dinner and it was amazing😍 food was very tasty and fresh. Great place to wait for the Harwich ferry. Just had a couple of beers and the sharing platter. The waiters were kind and patient, and the view is super interesting. Price per person €20–30 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Unicum Waterweg is very expensive with food that doesn't match the price, and sports dreadful service. It was 20 minutes before our drink orders were taken and we were presented with menus. Drinks came after another 15 minutes, and our meal orders were taken. The waiter asked how we wanted our steaks cooked, and confirmed that the burgers for the children came with chips. An hour later the food finally arrived. All 4 of our steaks weren't prepared how we'd asked (3 under-cooked, 1 over-cooked). There were hardly any vegetables, and just 2 bowls of chips to share between all of us (apparently these chips also included the servings for the children - so 2 bowls for 4 adults and 4 children. 3 out of our 4 kids didn't like their burger. I tasted it and didn't like it either - it was like a frikadel-style burger in a stale, spongey bun. Desert was a disaster too. The base of my cheesecake was stale and the topping was spongey; it tasted like it was made yesterday and left out of the fridge overnight. The kids had an ice cream with smarties…that came with no smarties. No one came to us during our meal so we couldn't order extra drinks. Some reviews here talk about the nice views. If you sit on the waterside, then yes. But not if you sit on as aisle table, or at a table on the other side of the restaurant that overlooks cars parked on the side of the street. (Of course I had a wonderful view because I sat with my wife! ;) One of my daughters needed to use the toilet - she told me she was made to wait in a narrow, busy corridor by the entrance, and the toilets were dirty. Staff couldn't spare a smile all night - not even when we paid. And to top it all off - it's disgustingly expensive. Terrible food, terrible service.
