We went looking for a burger and found a wonderful small business. The beans are delightful with meat infused. The burgers you can build your own and they have a GF bun! We will definitely be going back. Thanks Unks for a great night. Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Such a yummy burger. Got the double! I think it might be called everything and the refrigerator! Burger was amazing, their fries are amazing! It isn't often you find a burger place that has both a great burger and great fries! They also have a side of baked beans that were pretty great also! You’ll feel like you’re part of the family at Unks burgers! Not only are his burgers REALLY good, I dream about those wings and fries (regular seasoned). Get your wing sauce on this side because his dry rub is SO GOOD! And Aunties baked beans??? Put that on my list for my last meal before I meet Jesus. The staff is very friendly and professional and Unk himself makes you feel like you’re an honorary family member. Every time we go, I feel like I got invited to the cookout. Don’t sleep on this one! Wow. Spotted this unassuming burger spot in a strip mall. Got the standard Unk's Burger which came out very unassuming as well. Nothing fancy. None of that matters. The seasoning, the bun, the quality of the meat....all amazing. Great fries too. One of the best burgers in KC. The owner here is also super nice and it makes for a super cool family atmosphere. Have eaten at Unk's many times over the years. Great backyard, home grilled flavor. The burgers are all cooked to the same temperature. I chose the breakfast burger with cajun fries, and they tasted great. There are customer drawings all over the walls, and they are friendly and hospitable every visit. Great food. I got the Ryan's Little and my daughter got sweet Auntie. The chicken was crisp and juicy. The onions are smashed in the burgers. The seasoning is good. Very flavorful and not greasy. I got a side of baked beans, they were really good, the addition of ground turkey was a pleasant surprise. Everything is ala carte, you can put whatever you want on the burger. You can order with or without onions. We will be back. UNK Was so nice and the other gentleman in the kitchen too. He gave us a sample of the beans to try. There's kids drawing on walls. It was good, but my tummy hurts now. My burps smell like something undesirable. The bun was good The patty had good flavor but not good aftertaste. My favorite thing was the fries. The fried pickles were okay. It was nice that Unk came around and talked to everybody and was very friendly, points for the atmosphere. The establishment is nice and small, and is obviously well loved. The owner stopped by our table a couple times and was friendly and chatty. I ended up choosing the baked bean burger, which is just a burger with their house made beans. The burger was good. The beans were a bit sweet for me but I get that is a preference thing. Other people's food looked good too and they said they would be coming back. A few notes. No tap water, you have to pay for a bottle (a little over a dollar and obviously no refills). They have a soda machine so I don't know why they can't do water. The food for lunch took a bit longer than expected. My companions complained a bit but I get that it's made to order unlike some of the chain restaurants.
